The dark chocolate and coffeeish notes erupt from the glass. Full mouth, creamy, coffee, chocolate but also bitter hops and grainy malts. This is a perfect Imperial Stout, but then a light version. Not strange, given only 6.5% ABV

90 Minute Imperial IPA Heijnen

A nice post-hockey game beer. Exhausted by the long trip, the jetlag and a brilliant Rangers hockey game, this Imperial IPA is the perfect sleeping pill. Bitters, creamy malts and fruits fight for attention. Not bad

Oooopppsss, this is a hell of a beer. Fat and creamy, dark ripe prunes top sweet choc and boozy notes. These Founders guys know how to brew beer, pff

KBS Heijnen

Full, dark nose, sweet tones of choc and dark roasts if coffee. Holy crap, this is stuff. Hardly ever had such a full beer, it has it all, creamy, choc, coffee, barrel-booze, cacao. Bitter, sweet, salty tones of licorice. Simply awesome

60 Minute IPA Heijnen

Hoppy, bitter citrusy and sweet tropical fruity tones in the nose. Bitter pines in the mouth, some sweet fruits but overwhelmed by the bitters

Blushing Monk (2022) Heijnen

Nose like raspberry syrup/lemonade, raspberry all over. Mouth fully reflects the nose, this is a full raspberry kriek. Not my favorite type of beer, but this one is ok

All Day IPA Heijnen

Pretty bitter, hints of fruit and lots of malts and hops in the finish. Would be much better if it contained +3% on ABV

Frootwood Heijnen

Cherry nose with small boozy tones of barrels. Sweet mouth, lots of cherries, some wood and small sweet tones of barrels

#DIPA Heijnen

Fruity nose, lots of citrus and tropical fruits, piney tones. Full, thick mouth, initially pretty bitter and piney, then the citrus and tropical fruit take over. Very nice

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021) Heijnen

Dark nose with sweet tones of chocolate and vanilla, little coffeeish notes and a subtle prediction of the bourbon. Mouth is awesome, choc, dark coffee and lots of bourbon towards the finish. Fortunately there is so much better than Bud lite in the US

Winter Hexagon Heijnen

Sweet nose of tropical fruit, hints of citrus and hops. Sweet mouth as well, again tons of tropical fruit, thick and creamy, some hops and small bitters in the finish. Personally I would exchange some sweets against some more citrus and bitters

Dirty Bastard (2020) Heijnen

Creamy chocolate mouth with sweet dark malty tones. Fatty, creamy, bitter coffeeish mouth developing sweeter ripe red fruity tones before ending in a long bitter finish. Over the whole tasting palette smoky and peaty notes are present. Nice surprise
