KBS Blueberry gelvin

I could pick-up a nice blueberry scent but it didn’t have much of a blueberry flavor. It was negligible or very subtle. Otherwise, good beer. Hazelnut is still my favorite by far of all the barrel aged series!

Sweet Repute gelvin

Even though I prefer a barrel aged stout, this BBA ale was really good! Not overly sweet at all, as I had originally feared.

KBS Hazelnut gelvin

Holy Smokes this is good! It reminds me a lot of Frangelic, only souped up the ABV and barrel aged it. It kinda tastes like the Seattle’s Best Toasted Hazelnut coffee I make every morning, only on steroids(w/alcohol). Thanks Kristi & Mike for sharing.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) gelvin

Wow this brew really packs a punch!! I just sipped this beer for 2-1/2 hours and it still floored me. The 17+ % ABV may have played a role in this! Thanks for the great Christmas present, Kristi & Mike, and also thanks for your advice to drink it slowly.

I thought by the smell that this brew was going to be too sweet for my my taste. Imagine my surprise @ how smooth a drinker it was. Pronounced notes of coffee, vanilla & chocolate but not over the top. Really like this one. Thanks for sharing Kristi/Mike.

Blushing Monk gelvin

Don’t know where this great brew has been for the past 1-1/4 years. Even though I thought it was a great thirst quencher during the late summer & early fall months, it’s tart raspberry jam flavor is so good, no matter the time of year!

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge gelvin

Great fudge flavor w/a hint of maple flavor. Nice dessert beer or anytime your sweet tooth hollers “feed me”! Like all KBS beer, nice & balanced w/a great mouth feel. Thanks Kristi & Mike for sharing. This one’s a keeper!!
