Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2018) B
The maple sweetness comes and goes in the very beginning, and the chocolate is a non factor. I love the coffee in this, however. This aged way more gracefully than the 2017 version. Really well done

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2017) B
Sweet and bitter w/ a bit of nuttiness in the finish. The beer is pretty boozy and gives off a fruity, prune like flavor. It might be a bit much. The maple and coffee come through great, though the chocolate and barrel flavor are a bit blurred.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2019) B
Still an outstanding beer with a lot of chocolate and coffee flavor and no overwhelming bourbon flavor. That said, I feel this version has slightly less of an impact than other versions. No shame in that though for Founders

Wow, outside of Stubborn Bros version, this is the best Pale Wheat Ale I’ve had. It’s crisp, full of flavor (primarily orange) with a nice, light wheat flavor in the finish. Most importantly, it was cheap ($3 a pint). Bravo

Excellent beer, though perhaps not as special as in the past. Very malty, which really smooths out the hops. The hops are more on the bitter citrus end, like grapefruit. Might not be as exciting as others these days, but still executed perfectly

A superb coffee Stout that cuts the sweetness of the maple and chocolate and also reigns in the bitterness of the coffee. Oddly, there is almost no presence of barrel aging in this beer. An all-time great beer

The tequila is very prominent up front. It actually creates a PB&J effect from the jam like fruitiness of the Blushing Monk and the citric nuttiness of the agave. I don’t know if it blends perfectly, but it’s still really good very interesting

For the style that it is, I found it to be great. It’s crisp, you get a lot of citrus and a bit of pine. You also get a bit of that unique floral flavor associated with English Pale Ales. Impressive Session beer

Amazing beer, but par for the coarse for Founders. Very rich with a lot of different flavors going on (coffee, chocolate, milk). Oddly enough, no bourbon flavor. It’s pretty sweet, so I don’t think I could more than one, but don’t let that deter you.

One of my favorites of the style. Crisp and full of bready flavor. A small amount of malt sweetness in the aftertaste. Fantastic

Simply one of the best beers from a world class brewery. Just a beautiful balance of bourbon, chocolate, and coffee. A must for anyone with even a passing interest in dark beer. Founders is a big time brewery, and they deserve it with beer like this.
