Listening to a podcast describe all these barrels put me in the mood. Just dawned on me that the flip top grolsch bottles I bought for my homebrew can also store leftovers from big stout bottles. No more taking down whales solo in one sitting.

Yule Mælk Aged In Rum Barrels (2019)
Near perfect sipper on this unseasonably cold day. Today the rum didn’t hit me up front as much, and I’m finding a date/prune/raisin flavor I didn’t before. Rich and complex and only $4.99?? I might just end up buying the rest of these in the shop.

This one hits nicer than ever after a day on the slopes. The maltiness is less overpowering than last week, allowing the hops to pop more. Maybe this one is better directly from the bottle?

Malty and almost caramel-y. I can appreciate the craft, but I prefer the haze these days. The aroma and fruit flavor of the hops is more interesting that way.

This has an incredible and complex flavor - notes of coffee, chocolate, and of course alcohol (11% ABV). This is definitely one of the finest beers in existence, and is worth the price for a splurge every once in a while.
