Everything about this is lighter than the 3F before it (the tobacco, the funk, the carb) except for a more metallic tang in the middle that was missing from 3F. Enjoyed the more subtle approach here. Rating: 4.35

Finally having this long time bucketlister. Big boozy sherry aroma. Taste is similar to 90 minute, but amped up. It’s like drinking a glass of fine liquor. Not sure I’d classify this as an IPA though.

90 Minute Imperial IPA (2022) Johnson
Finally, the 90 minute thanks to Andrew M. A bit old, but based on reviews, this tastes as it should. Definitely a very malt forward IPA. Sweet caramel malts with mild piney bitters. Expected more of an old school WC bitterness. Smooth as shit.

Will always go for a KBS variant when I get the chance. Smells like French hazelnut roasted coffee. A little boozy milk chocolate upfront, coffee following with a nice nutty finish.

Saved the best for last in the flight. And boy oh boy is it good. Better than the OG KBS. The extra espresso shot even takes away some of the booze so this is a way smoother variant too. Crazy to have this on tap

Has that barnyard funk aroma that I love in a good Gueuze. Light lemon upfront, followed by tart apricot skins. Great dryness

Mikkeller Oude Geuze (Old Calvados Casks Blend) Johnson
Very light and carbonated. Sweet with overripe apples. Weird earthiness. Kind of has a dead hoppyness upfront. Champagne vibes with familiar metallic tang.

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio (2018) Johnson
First uncarbed beer (and first Cantillon), and it’s pretty damn cool. Has a bit of that metallic lambic tang upfront, but such a mix of weird flavours throughout. Tannins and an interesting tobacco flavour, and oragano? Very cool. Rating: 4.40
