Double digit ABVs are the theme of the night. This is truly a “dessert” beer—though it makes you think of eating breakfast!!

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2020)

Pork and stout for the main entree. An abrupt departure from the low ABV of the salad course, but chocolate and coffee combine again for a stout win 👍

All Day Chill Day

Toning things down a bit with the salad course… like a “welcome back” ipa. Light and hoppy.

Porter

Branching out (for me) with the soup course. This #2 Porter in the world fits all the descriptors—chocolate, coffee, roasty. (And the mushroom bisque pairing is delish!!

Belgian Twist

First course: A twisty tripel. Less malty than…malty, with a tiny hint of sweetness. 2 for 2 with the 10%! Hoping we lighten up as the evening progresses.

Mango Magnifico

Appetizer course of our Founders Beer dinner @ Duke’s. Fancy food and a wide variety of beers shall commence. This one leaves a warm after-burn for sure!

Hazy-O!

Wrapping up the weekend with a last stop before boarding the Metra. Impressive use of all things oat in the brewing process.

Burst

Light and refreshing, with a bitter finish. A perfect first after a long day.
