Gorm the Old - Rum Cask Edition (2023)

Nose is boozy dark chocolate and rum notes. Taste is similar. Lots of booze and dark chocolate. Some cocoa as well. Throughout it all a strong rum note with a bit of vanilla sweetness. Very nice.

Nose is fresh and sour lime with some tequila character. Taste is salty with a nice lime in the background. You can definitely taste the tequila influence too. Very refreshing and interesting.

Breakfast Stout

Nose is coffee and chocolate. Taste is roasty coffee and fruity dark chocolate. Not too complex but nice.

Nose is boozy and roasty. Taste is dark and roasty. Pretty boozy flavor with a bit of fruitiness. Dark chocolate and coffee. Dark malts. Nice sipper.

Canute the Great - Bourbon Barrel Release 2022

Nose is sweet vanilla and bourbon. Heavy vanilla, boozy and some nice coffee. Bourbon character is very present. A little fruitiness from the booze. Dark chocolate. Great beer.

Barrel Runner

2018 bottling. Nose is boozy with sweet rum notes. Taste is very strong and boozy. You get the slightly bitter hops very clearly, but also a lot of rum flavor. Sweet caramel but also a hint of tropical fruits. It’s interesting and quite nice.

4 Giants IPA

Nose is hoppy and resinous. Taste is strong and dry. Lots of resins and pine trees. Some floral character. Booze forward with good mouthfeel. Refreshing as well. Very good.

Big Doink

Nose is resinous and dry. Taste is juicy and resinous. Some citrus fruits. Creamy mouthfeel. Stone fruits. Hoppy and a bit of sweetness. Fairly dry. Nice.

All Day IPA

Nose is hops and citrus fruit. Taste is hoppy and slightly dry. Some resinous character. Pine trees. Overall refreshing.

Hjem Til Jul - Citra Kiss - IPA 2022

Forgot to turn the yeast around before opening. Nose is fresh, citric and hoppy. Taste is similar - hops and citrus fruits. Some pine taste in the finish together with some resins. It’s good.

Jule-IPA

Nose is resinous and piny. Taste is hoppy and dry. Resins are very much present. Pine trees. Bitter. A bit of malt and metallic taste. It’s good.

Baltazar 2022

Nose is malty dark fruits. Taste is malty and dry. Not very sweet. Some dark fruits. Not too much complexity, but it’s fine.

Sugar Plum Fairy

Beershoppen 10 års Jubilæumsøl

Nose is fruity and sweet. Taste is fresh, floral and hoppy. Very different from other barley wines I’ve had. Fruity and floral character dominates. Some sweetness meshing with the hops. It’s quite good.

Backwoods Bastard

Nose is sweet and boozy. Taste is similar to the nose. Quite boozy but in a sweet way. You get the bourbon barrel influence with vanilla and sweetness. It’s nice.

Any Port In A Storm

Nose is dark berries and port wine. Taste is very heavy. Dark, boozy berries. Has a good complexity. Port wine taste is present. I get some slight vanilla character too. It’s good, but not really my style.

Brokilde Blonde

Nose is sweet and flowery. Taste is similar to nose. Very sweet and some floral flavors. Honey-like sweetness.Also a bit yeasty and bready. Quite nice cold on a hot summer day.

Coffiend Sour

Nose is roasty coffee and some fruitiness. Taste is very sour berries. Like unripe sour. With a coffee note in the background. It’s a very strange combination, but alright nonetheless.

Future Paradox

Nose is roasted and hoppy. Taste is roasty and malty. There’s some hops present too. Tastes a bit like rye bread or biscuit. It’s interesting.

Bryg 61 Christmas Edition

B67 - Imperial Stout

Nose is dark chocolate and coffee. Taste is dark roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Roasted malt. A little bit of licorice. Very roasted. It’s a bit thin in mouthfeel but otherwise quite nice.

Mochaccino Messiah

White Wedding (2022)

Nose is coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is kind of strange. There’s a wine-like taste all the way through. Quite overpowering. In the background you can taste the classic stout notes. Chocolate, coffee. It’s not really my style.

Velvet Rush

Nose is coffee and brown sugar. Taste is heavily spiced. I get cinnamon, vanilla and brown sugar. At the end the chocolate comes through. Throughout I also get a taste of coffee. Can also taste vanilla sweetness from the barrel. It’s nice and light.

Underground Mountain Brown

Nose is coffee, brown sugar and vanilla. Taste is very sweet vanilla and a bit malty. Then comes in the coffee that lasts all the way to the end. Throughout it all there’s a booziness present as well. It’s nice and not too heavy.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa

Nose is roasty chocolate. First impression in the mouth is a cinnamon bomb. So much cinnamon. There’s a little vanilla too, very spicy. Roasty and coffee. It’s pretty interesting and good.

Blonde

Nose is floral. Taste is light, fruity and floral. Nothing too special, but it’s not bad. Would be better on a summer’s day.

Nisse Juice

Nose is citrus fruits and hops. Taste is citrusy. Not too hoppy or dry. It’s refreshing and nice.

Great Gig In The Sky

Nose is tropical fruits and hops. Taste is mild hops and juicy tropical fruits. A little bit dry in the finish. A very nice and refreshing beer.

Hornbeer Christmas

Nose is malty and boozy. Taste is boozy and caramel. Sweet and strong. Some spiciness comes in at the end. Quite nice Belgian style.

Santa Gose F&#% It All

Nose is tropical fruits and hops. Taste is fresh and sour. Tart and tropical fruits. Delicious and refreshing.

Rødgrød med Fløde

Nose is strawberries and a bit of malt. Taste is lord of strawberries and some creaminess. Little bit of malt at the end too. Pretty delicious and fresh.

Mango Mussolini

Nose is chocolate and vanilla. Taste is very boozy, the rum influence is very defined. It’s nice and sweet. The chocolate and vanilla then come in as well. Very nice.

Fanø Julebryg

Nose is raisins and coffee. Taste is a bit fruity, with chocolate. Dark chocolate. A little spiced but not a lot. It’s enjoyable.

Stereo Mono Azacca

Nose is hoppy, oranges and lemon sour. Mouthfeel is quite oily and coats your mouth. Taste is mild bitterness. Floral and a little citrus. It’s pretty refreshing.
