Droog, maar ook beetje vlak. Kandijsuiker, karamel, kardemom geeft iets van diepte, maar het zoethout verpest dit biertje toch best wel: plakkende zoetstofsmaak. Jammer dat dit wel in de schappen ligt en Grolsch Liefde en Vredespijp niet aan te komen zijn

Thin, onedemansional stout. The creator of breakfast stouts doesn't know how to brew a solid breakfast stout. Major disappointment.

Tastes stale in comparison to the previous porter. Maltier, though, wheat-like, and more chocolaty. Okay, but not for the price paid.

A well done wee heavy, nothing more. Expressive nose: anise, chocolate, slight hoppiness and yeast. Full mouth feel, malty with hints of chocolate and kettle hops. Drying kettle hop finish. Almost worth the exorbitant price of €3,60, almost.
