It’s almost like if they made a sophisticated peanut butter KBS. So smooth and decadent. The coffee roast is the yin and the sweet nuttiness is the yang. Kinda love this.

Bottle Shop Nemesis Release 01 Rocha
Certainly smells of the percentage, but keeps things balanced with some raisiny sweetness. Hops add a bit of west coast bitterness for an interesting finish.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) Rocha
Reminiscent of walking into a fudge shop. Indulgent, rich and velvety chocolate that leans more milk chocolate than bittersweet. Not coyingly sweet though. The oak adds nice complexity while tempering any boozy burn that might normally be detected in KBS

I’m used to the boozy bourbon kick of the usual batch, but this one comes right at you with the espresso instead. Akin to eating chocolate covered espresso beans, the coffee bitterness is addicting. More in your face roasty-ness and less smooth though

Am I at a farmer’s market? Not this time, the raspberry aroma is just that strong and fruity. Best fruit I’ve had in a stout that I can think of. Tastes like chocolate ganache topped with fresh raspberries
