Grapefruit, orange, berry fruits, very resinous, piney. Lingering bitterness. Superb WC DIPA.

Obviously much boozier, sweeter, but I think this is better than Big Doink. Ripe tropical fruits galore and a big piney hit. Even has some good hop bitterness. Really great QIPA.

Cola and the fortified wine barrels very prominent. Caramel, dark fruits, booze soaked raisins, chocolate, bourbon, oak, brown sugar. Sprinkle of salt. Mild Xmas spices. Boozy. Couldn’t taste the vanilla or marshmallows. Very interesting brown ale.

Usually enjoy grapefruit in beer but not so much this time. Can’t put my finger why. The beer’s ok though.

Very sweet. Strawberry syrup, honey, creamy vanilla, slight earthiness in the finish. Probably too sweet but very enjoyable.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio Phillips
Another one of them “out of date” beers, almost 5 years old. Very funky, lots of oak, lemon, hay, vinegar. Sour, sharp and dry. Lively carbonation.

The coffee is intense, very roasty and bitter. Dark chocolate, caramel, more coffee. Boozy for 7.5%. Can’t believe I’ve not had this original before. Classic. Not quite as special as the various pastry stout spin offs though.

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 109 Mono Blend Phillips
Brewed 2014 bottled 2016 so out of date by 5 years now. Disgusting old beer, but not. Finally found a Geuze I like. Dry, funky, oaky, sour, acidic, vinous, apple. No cognac though.

Game of Thrones - Iron Anniversary IPA Phillips
Clearly brewed to not offend the masses but it’s pretty decent considering. Sweet, ripe fruits, grapefruit, orange and mango, a little pine, very little bitterness.

Juicy orange and pineapple, lime, mango, and a slight oniony note. Medium bodied, soft and smooth.

Quite sweet, soft juicy exotic fruits. Papaya, mango, peaches. Gooseberry and lime. Delicious. Just wish it wasn’t so sweet.

Juicy passionfruit, papaya, white grape, tangy gooseberry, dank and earthy bitterness. Such a soft pillowy body. Superb.
