McConnellsburg

Love me some heavy beers. Belgians, stouts, barrel-aged beers, barley wines—mm!

KBS Blueberry

Thick, chewy mouthfeel. Big crunchy start, sweet zip with dark, red fruit backing, balanced by boozy and slightly sour notes.

KBS Hazelnut (2022)

Dark dark brown, almost black as oil. Acidic, roasty coffee nose. Very rich and boozy. Strong coffee, nuttiness, and peppery. Aftertaste is big hazelnut, almost peanut butter.

KBS Hazelnut

Dark pour. Tan head. Strong hazelnut coffee nose. Fairly thick mouthfeel. Hazelnut is powerfully at the forefront, then it fades to vanilla. Sweet like chocolate. Very little bitterness for a flavor reminiscent of coffee. Nice, but a bit too strong 4 me

Wake Up World Wide Stout

Very dark brown pour. Low carbonation. Smells like burnt waffle haha. Thick mouth feel. A lot more smoke and boozy than KBS. Plenty of acid/heat in addition to booziness throughout. Chocolate and maple sweetness, but they don’t tame this wild wake up call

KBS

Dark brown, almost black. Low carbonation. Smells sweet, a bit fruity, and coffee-ish. Flavor really is a perfect balance of smoke, roasty coffee, & sweetness of vanilla & chocolate. Probably imagined maple syrup too. Very smooth & sessionable

KBS Hazelnut

Remarkably dark, thick pour. Hazelnut easily first scent to hit the nose. Slightly smokey too? The thick mouthfeel and barrel aged quality both accentuate the hazelnut/coffee flavor, making it very bold. Surprisingly smooth finish.

Backwoods Bastard

Beautiful. Light brown/amber pour, gentle fizz. Slightly floral, with hints of vanilla orbiting a caramel nose. It has a boozy leg to it, but not overwhelming. Big, mouth-filling flavor is well-balanced with roasty notes & a faint smokey finish.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021)

Transcendently, dreamily delicious. KBS, you’re way too good to find in a cooler at a picnic. And yet, I did. There was only 1 or 2 in there. Was it meant for me? Yes. Should I go back and snag the other? …Yes.

Panther Cub

Nose: Rich chocolatey maple. Slightly smokey. Wow! I didn’t know maple and Vanilla pair so well! Add in the boozy Bourbon barrel flavor and chewy mouthfeel, and you get this obscenely delicious beer.

Curmudgeon Old Ale (2017)

Clear reddish amber. Smells sweet like molasses or dates. Very bold and sweet. Brings to mind a saturated fruity syrup. Less aged is better
