This absolute resinbomb is a delight. Like diving head first in a dank wet pine tree.

Unlike the song from which this brew bears it's name, this is no master piece. It is not bad by any means. But not above anything that has stood before it as its predecessor. A tropical juice bomb you had a thousand times before.

The dark chocolatey notes really carry this boy all the way home. A hard roasted malty profile dominates and somewhat even trivializes the lack of mouthfeel. It says it has adjuncts. But I really just appreciate the mat profile here. Very well done

Citrussy and rather refreshing. But still it feels about like it's been watered down a bit.

Stone fruits and a lovely familiarity. This is pretty much what comes to mind when you think of NE IPAs.

Bourbon Barrel Aged King Ink (2023) Lykke
Heeeeeeeavy BA. It does give off quite a boozy finish. The Heaven Hill almost feels added than aged. The sub notes of dark chocolate liquorice and raisins are lovely though. Just too heavily BA'ed imo.

First time I tried a QIPA I thought we had reached the pinnacle of beer-making. Many a beer has been had since and I have thoroughly changed my mind. It's too vulgar and too one-sided. It's a can of boozy fruitjuice

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2016) Lykke
Oh man. Time has been kind to this fella. After 8 years it is still so god damn balanced. The tart and funk intermingles beautifully while not one nor the other take the upper hand. Still has a deliciously light body that makes it that much more crushable

I really dig this series. Putting focus on a single hop really helps me and my taste buds on this journey of mine. Thanks to Gamma for providing a lesson

Bourbon Barrel Aged Colossus (2023) Lykke
Bad seed is actually doing some great work atm. Subtle licorice notes hides behind the masse body of brown sugar and BA. Mouthfeel is just on point. It's boozy but not overwhelming. *Genuine slowclap*

Hop. fucking. bomb. This is a great brew from the Danes. This indeed reminds me of fuzzy greens from a meadow filled with dew and mist.

Drømmekage anyone? Yup, here we go. Booze and cake is all we've got. Hope you're hungry.

Like a liquified chocolate cake. This brew is ever decadent. A pint might have been a bit too much. But it sure was fulfilling

Christmas is rapidly approaching - and this is actually a great take on the usually lousy holiday beers. Warm roasty coffee notes accompanied by the creaminess of lactose. Defo a fine brew

Very sweet. Next to no carbonation. A quite nice mouthfeel though. Taste is fine but rather one dimensional I find.

Licorice and leather and riasons. You want that shit? Cus that's what ya get. I mean it's good though, just hella boozy

Ah shit, here we go again. It's that time of year again. The time where Ebeltoft releases their inexplicably named Jule IPA. I never understood what's actually x-massy about it. But I do understand that it is a damn fine IPA. More like a westcoast style.

Just excellent. My god this is sexy, funky and light.

A lovely light lager. I could pour this down my gullet all day long! Crushable. But still satiating. Simple enough to slam. But still not boring.

Oh my! What a dang lovely pils! Well balanced and just the tiniest bit of floral notes

This really hits. A great mix of fruity summer vibes with bitter hoppyness. Chuggable and really delightful

Mumbo Jumbo #3 White Peach, Mango, Lime Lykke
Huge mango notes with lovely mild sourness. Seems like a great intro beer to fruited sours. Great on a hot summers day

A decent and very hoppy IPA. Quite bitter in the aftertaste. But abit too subtle at first sip

Got this at a crazy discount. Fitting for a crazy beer. Grape, smoke and chilli. Not sure if it works. But it's interesting.

Chuck full of citrussy hopps. Lovely crisp mouthfeel. Would be great on a warm summers evening.

My Honningkage Is Bigger Than Yours Lykke
This has a rather power aroma of Glögg. It's Christmas and spices in a bottle. But not in a tacky way. It actually feels like Christmas, and not just a Christmas beer. It's sweet, it's spices, it's raisins and nuts. It's everything comforting in s bottle

I was quite sceptical. Wild Ale aged in Cardonnay barrels at 45,-? That sounds too good to be true. But actually this is a fine beer! The floral white wine notes really come into play, and pairs greatly with the rather sweet nose. Bang for your buck here!

A fine porter here. The orange peel is subtle and i think suits it. Mostly it's dark roasty coffee notes along with English licorice on the nose. Also, as it is technically a Christmas beer, it's cheap as ball's right now. For 15,- it's a freaking steal.

Great IPA. Every sip makes me want to take another. Lovely bitterness and not actually Christmassy at all. I hate that it's a seasonal beer only. I'd drink this all year around.

Dark toasty notes of coffee, bringing me back to a time of sophistication, jazz, morning newspaper and a fresh brewed pot of coffee. Very comforting and very approachable. Great great stout

Oh man. Did they pull it off in their first go? I think they did. Lovely strong coffee notes. Nose with a hint vanilla and very subtle liquorice. Very very tastefully done, and nicely balanced.

This comes down like a bomb with an intense malty and boozy explosion. It's very well balanced despite how powerful it actually is. Notes of plums and walnuts in both the nose and taste.

Delightful beer this one! Hoppy with some spices and a slight sweetness. This is a must pick everytime i visit their idyllic brewery in the countryside. You really can't go wrong here.

They are obviously most known for their wildflower IPA. But a lot of their brews are equally as excellent. This Barley Wine is very high quality for the price. There is sadly very little description of how it is aged. Neither time nor barrel is known.

This is a really fine pick for the price. It's it does nothing spectacularly, but it does scratch the Lamboc itch if you're in a pinch. Decent tartness and a great funky nose

Bourbon Barrel Aged Colossus Lykke
Oh boy was this a treat for my mouth and belly! If you follow my journey on here you know i love me some bourbon barrels. And this really delivered! Really not too boozy even with a 14,5%.

A nose of clementines and a mouth of grapefruit and oranges. Nice and smooth DIPA with a great alround citrusy experience. Gorgeous dark orange in colour.

Black Malts & Body Salts 2.0 Lykke
To Øl describes this as well rounded. But to me it's anything but that. It's abnormally bitter and way too alcohol forward. The aftertaste is, to me, all it has going for it which is rather pleasant with strong coffee notes.
Close to perfection. This Lambic is neither boring nor overwhelming. Light and thirstquenching yet complex. Absolutely incredible on a hot summers day. Worst part of tasting this beer was having to share with a friend. Definitely coming back to this one!

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Lykke
This supposed Brown Ale breaks a lot of barriers i think. It's got a great complexity coming from the barrel aging. Great citrusy notes to compensate for the sweetness. The rather high alcohol content is in no way overwhelming. Nose is a bit boring though
about 3 years ago
Beautiful orangy colour. A slight funk to the nose but a very light and crisp taste. The aftertaste is typically hoppy and actually where this beer shines the most in my opinion. It has a great round mouth feel despite how light of a taste it has.
