Remarkably good value at £3.25 a bottle from Waitrose (I’m after that style bottle for my ciders & perries). I haven’t had Lambic beer in a while, but what I’m picking up is the slightest whiff of volatile acidity - is that common in this style of beer?

19 different hops in one IPA! I couldn’t even begin to dissect what hop is dominating the nose or palate. A veritable smorgasbord. Interesting, it’s brewed in Belgium by De Proef Brouwerij for Mikkeller 🇧🇪🇩🇰

Kærlighed Spring/Summer 2024 Toye
Tasting super bitter to me, I’m thinking I haven’t quite got all my nosing and tasting senses back yet. Could be because I’ve gone from fruit beers to this. A privilege to be able to try these Danish exclusives back here in the UK.

Juicetastic! Delving into my little stash from DTW24 in Copenhagen, always worth visiting a local bottle shop or supermarket when travelling 😉 Like Bonne Maman jam meets a hoppy IPA 🇩🇰

Fantastic little bar in Copenhagen airport. A hoppy blonde ale on the chalk board and a hoppy blonde ale in the glass 😍🇩🇰

Intriguing! If you’d served me this blind I’d have said I’m picking up a bourbon whiskey/rye whiskey note. I’m not sure I’ve had enough lager with rice to know it as that flavour. Nice to widen the palate. 🇩🇰

A tasty gluten free beer. Tastes just like a regular pale ale sans le gluten 🇩🇰

Went into this thinking it was a raspberry wheat beer but it’s definitely a raspberry sour, super tart and clean. At only 3.7%abv, a nice low abv to savour.

Kaerlighed Hazy Pale Ale Fall/Winter 2023 Toye
A good mixture of pine and citrus notes coming through on this hazy pale ale. Love the illustration on the can too 😍🇩🇰

That’s a delicious lager, full of depth of character! Brewed in partnership with Budvar, so a Danish/Czech collaboration lager no less! Skål!

A lovely pilsner from Denmark, trying a little taster from John’s can.

Dang that’s a tasty combination of citra and simcoe hops! A little taster from John’s can, brought back as a gift from Copenhagen airport duty free.

Another duty free goodie from Copenhagen Airport. Super intriguing flavour hops - slightly berry bubblegum before the bitterness kicks in.

It's Blowing Half A Pelican / Det blæser en halv pelikan Toye
Watching the sun go down over Copenhagen, a lovely accompaniment to a peaceful setting 20 floors up in the sky. Light citrus notes, accompanied by a slight creaminess.

Well this is delicious! So full of malty flavour, it’s almost reminding me of how Hobgoblin tastes. Some cans to take home to John are definitely on the list 👍🏻🇩🇰

Weird Weather Non-Alcoholic Hazy IPA Toye
Earlier finish today, so trying some more Danish delicacies which are definitely about twice as expensive in the UK. Lives up to the hazy name, slight dank hopped nose, a bit biscuity but the mild effervescence gives good body.

Has to be one of the best low abv beers I’ve tried. Super citra hoppy vibes, loads of flavour. Up there with Punk AF for a really enjoyable alcohol free beer 👍🏻

Always a fan of Kriek beers and to pick this up in Tesco in Downham Market as part of a multi buy deal is just great. Sour, rich, and malty 🍂😍
