(2020 vintage) The acetic fruity tartness (stone fruit, white grape, etc.), the cheesey funk, mild herbal hints, etc. - it's all here. It's so excellent, every time.

Curmudgeon’s Better Half (2019) C.
The Curmudgeon still lives! Some subtle earthy and herbal-spicy hop bitterness peeking through. Big molasses flavour, along with light caramel and honey. Maple bourbon still persisting, in flavour and mild heat. Barrel oak hints lead into a dry finish.

Still potent in hop effect and booziness! Mosaic here offers subtle earth, light pine, and bold herbal spice. Rum heat has mellowed plenty, but still persists in flavour. 11.1% ABV indeed. This brew is such a great little gem.

An "old faithful." What never ceases to impress me about ToØl's Cascadian Dark is the rivaling bitterness of the roasted-burnt malts against the herbal and earthy hopping. Also: some nuttiness, some dank resin, and lemony-grapefruit pith/rind. Masterful.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2017) C.
The difference age makes! The vinegar nose familiar to this gueze is absent, as much of the fresh "acetic" has smoothed out. Light cheesey funk, tart white grape must, tangy stone fruit, and herbal presence. Finishes quite dry.

Sweet ripe cherry permeates this brew. There's an almost creamy lactose sort of note along the way, balancing the vinegar-like tartness. There's also an effect in here that recalls soft herbals. Tart, dry, and magnificent.

Light tanginess of fruit, with a hint of wood, and light acetic sharpness. Features a foamy thick, bubbly body. Finishes dry. Brilliant.
