Saint Lamvinus

Last shared bottle from yesterday. Blend of aged lambics and merlot grapes. Tart, fruity and fragrant. Delicious red grape vibes. Absolute delight!

Lambic with rhubarb. Properly tart and sour with a touch of funky and sweetness. Lovely

Strawberry Cranachan

This should probably be classified as a fruit beer with honey (roasted honey apparently) instead of a mead, but oh well. Fairly straight forward can, lots of 🍓, honey and vanilla. The slightest tartness. Great can!

Trading Places

Bought it from the store yesterday. Came home and noticed the BBE Sep 2021. Cardboardish. Sweet. Very little fruitiness. Sticky. Not pleasant. Too bad, sounded like an epic collab.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS)

Bottled in 2019. Proper milk stout. Loads of coffee and maple sweetness. A delicious boozy late breakfast drink!

The Guide

As the name suggests, this could be the perfect gateway beer to NEIPAs and IPAs in general. Hoppy, juicy, fruity and frustratingly easy to drink. BUT would I go for another can? Probably not, I’d move on to more interesting brews

Hej 5

Thick, creamy, quite boozy. And that’s it. Not a lot of flavour. The can was almost at its BB date so there’s that. Not the blast I was hoping for.

Dirty Bastard

Sweet, malty, dark fruits. Very much autumnal. Nice, but not my favourite :/

Underground Mountain Brown

Lovely barrel aged brown ale. Loads on coffee on the nose. Malty, robust, oaky. Hints of bourbon. Extremely well crafted ale 🔥

Backwoods Bastard

Nice strong ale. A number of spices on the nose, sweet, caramelly and quite boozy. Still very smooth to drink. Next time I’m having this I want to be on board of a fishing boat somewhere in the Baltic Sea.
