Gueuze (2023) M

It’s hard to sum up a well made gueuze becuase I’ve never had one without the requisite parts of brightness, acidity, mild wood and floral/sherberty goodness. It’s about balance and this one balanced them all brilliantly.

Nelson Sauvignon / Sauvin Brut M

Big and present bevvy! Musty, sherbetty, citrusy and dry on the palate. This would be a great beer to accompany some seafood.

Blanche De Mikkeller M

Good light wit. Not too big on the nose and pretty clean and drinkable for the style.

Chugwork Orange M

Yep it’s a super sweet creamy orange beer. Tall can is a bit of a strugggle. Nice enough but feels a little diabetes inducing.

Más Agave M

This is a very silly beer to have 1Ltr of. Sweet worty malt pretty well balanced with alotta salt, sharp acidity and real woody. Bit of a slog to drink but I could see this beer pairing with food really well.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio M

2017 bottling. Great Christmas Day Breakfast beer! A bit of minerally zing on the nose to put a spring in ya step! Great palate, full bodied with a tiny bit of malt sweetness initially and a super dry peppery acidic finish.

Oude Geuze Boon M

Value for money here in Aus it’s nice to pick up a genuine Gueze in all its green apple, dusty, funky glory for $15.99. A mid afternoon delight to say gday to the palate and ready it for a big night.
