Is it a pale ale or is a session IPA? Idk. Are those actually the same? Idk. If not, then what is the difference? Is the beer any good? Yes. Yes it is. Is it the best pale ale/session IPA I’ve ever had? No. Not it isn’t. But do I like it? Yes. Yes I do!

Intense aroma of apricots, green apples, yogurt, and dried mango - and a hint of funk. Strong acidity with a tannic and mouth watering finish. Amazing beer, that does take its toll on the enamel however

Rosé De Gambrinus (2022) Thorsen
Notes of raspberry, strawberry, cherries and Brett. Taste is highly acidic with the red fruits dominating the character. High viscosity with a slightly funky aftertaste. Maybe lacking a bit of complexity?? But amazing beer overall ❤️

Lovely sour with some rich wine-like features and a nice buttery/vanilla feel from the barrels. Quite complex beer with notes of raspberry, strawberry, and brett/barnyard

Fragments of A Universe Thorsen
F***ing amazing sour! Just what I needed after a long night in town. Notes of apricot, rubber, and mango. The acidity is prominent but not overwhelming. The cheeks are left dry and longing for more

Malty caramelness with a prominent bitterness in the back end compared to the style. Light beer with a good flavor! 🍻

Very Belgian inspired beer without real farmhouse-like notes. It’s tasty and phenolic, but I don’t not what makes it a farmhouse beer?

Frederiksdal Oude Kriek Barrel Finish Thorsen
Great tasting kriek with a full mouthfeel and tart and dry finish. Overall great cherry taste with a slight vanilla like hint

Aroma is nice with notes of caramel, nuttiness and coffee, but the taste is not for me unfortunately… The after taste is a bit harsh with a lacking of sweetness to balance out the roastedness of the coffee

Hop forward, crushable pale ale with a lovely bitterness and delicious tropical notes. Aroma of mango, citrus and peach. Whoever brewed this must be a freaking genius 🙌

“Hæderlig” IPA! Nice tropical notes and a sweetness that’s (although very present) not overbearing

Notes of pineapple, nectarine and apricot. It’s sour without being too much, and actually rather tasty! There is although also a very much present note of tomato/tomato soup?! It might just be me, but once I noticed it, I couldn’t smell anything else

Very tasty kriek with loads of fresh cherry notes, as well as notes of slight funk, marcipan, toasted bread and sulphur. Quite acidic and dry without being too much and overall well balanced!

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio Thorsen
Very acidic and surprisingly un-complex. Notes of grapefruit, pineapple, rubber, green apples and grape. Flavor is full on bitter grapefruit, and hurts the teeth and gums. Refreshing and sour, but not much else?!

Super refreshing and cider-like. The question for the day: when do beers with forever increasing apple flavor turn and become a cider? Does malt have to be the dominant source of sugar? Does it need to have hops of some sort? We may never know

Something seems off about this IPA… Maybe DMS, aka, cooked vegetable flavor? I’m sure this beer is usually better, but this time, I’m not digging it. Sorry Dry & Bitter

Beer at CPH Half Marathon (spectator)! Light and tasty pale ale with lovely notes of mango, elderflower, and peaches

To my knowledge, this is a proper good Pilsner! The Germans would probably say, that this is far too bitter to be a proper pils - but I of course don’t mind this one bit. This beer is tasty, crisp and thirst quenching with a prolonging bitter after taste.

The hop character is great, but the taste is a bit too much to the sweet side for my liking. I can understand why it’s quite popular, but it’s not for me.

Flowery and citrussy in the nose and has a pleasant lingering bitterness. It has a certain crispness and is a straight forward and tasty IPA

A lovely classic style beer with a bit more hoppy presence and a crisp finish. An optimized version of the style - but maybe a bit over prized?

A lovely refreshing sour for the summer heat! Not too sour but lacking some complexity. Both aroma and taste of fresh raspberries, which is an impressive feat when you think about it!

Very innocent beer with a pleasant raspberry aroma and taste. It is almost more sweet than sour, which makes it even more quenchable

Tropical smoothie-like fruit sour with a hint of sweetness in the back end (which does it nicely). Actually a very decent sour that’s nice and refreshing, without being overly sour. Still hurts my teeth though lol

Rich and tasty - but maybe the taste contributions from the white port wine doesn’t quite compliment the stout flavors

Another fairly decent craft Pilsner (which is hard to do). Gamma has gone for a more traditional taste with a slight malt presence and a restrained hoppiness. It is pretty well balanced, but is a bit on the sweet side… Notes of straw, citrus, and toast.

Amazing session IPA! Light body and very quenchable, but with a pleasant bitter finish. Aroma of mango, citrus and pine. I could have 6 of these

Not blown away by this… The aroma is more reminiscing of synthetic cherries and the taste is overbearingly sweet. The taste is lacking complexity and I also detect a hint of butteriness in the taste. Maybe a bad batch?

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2019) Thorsen
This stout is amazingly tasty without trying too hard. This beer manages to be perfectly balanced with notes of bourbon, coffee, vanilla and chocolate. This beer should be a reference for all breweries attempting to brew a no-BS barrel aged imp. stout.
