Nope, that's not it... But here's to Father Nick, whose Mass-on-the-beach celebration of ordination was today at the Antor Pretty Lake Enclave. Good folks!

Lots of hype. I do like that it is not syrupy sweet. But like others have said, it's a little too much chocolate and not enough spice. Founders, please keep working to perfect this.

Righteous! Oh Man! This is to die for! Here's a question for you... Could Greyline Fade (which is always on nitro) be the same as Nitro Breakfast Stout? Just planting a seed for you conspiracy theorists.

Smooth, creamy, fruitifully flavorful. Here's to Brittany & Craig and a life of happiness together!

QUARTER LIFE CRISIS - FOUNDERS 25TH ANNIVERSARY BEER Esch
Unique entry # 2,000 A great entry for # 2,000. Sweet (but not overly so) and flavorful. A tasty dessert beer. Thanks to all my beer buddies for making this day possible.

Happy FBF! This could be my day for Entry # 2,000. Had to come to the source. This is a tasty IPA!

Thankfully, no hint of vanilla. You know how I feel about vanilla.

You know of my aversion to sours. First sip almost had me fooled into saying "This one's not bad!" But each subsequent sip reinforced my old prejudices. Sorry sours! "But, hey! It's a new entry!"

Another legitimate beer that is not an IPA. Not that I'm down on IPA's - I still like them - but it's nice to take a hop break from time to time.

'Em 'r real hops! Doesn't taste like All Day IPA and that's a good thing.

Beer City Dog Biscuit I “Paw” A Esch
Side-by-each taste test between I "Paw" (on the right) and All Day IPA (on the left) . Half way through the two, I did a blindfolded taste test and couldn't tell them apart.

Congratulations Amanda & Greg! A fine beer selection for your wedding day.

Not bad! The hazelnut masks a little bit of the BBA (which you know I an currently down on).

"Imagine there's no CO2. I wonder if you can. Only creamy smooth nitro. A brotherhood of man..."

My new boss came in and made me drink this in my office today. I haven't had a boss for 22 years. Didn't know what I was missing!

Looks like Thanksgiving is the day for Breakfast Stout. Always gets a 5.0 from me. An emotional / traditional favorite but not without basis in much tasting research.

Maple Barrel Aged Frangelic Mountain Brown Esch
More BBA stuff from Founders, but I'll let it slide since the State / U ugh M game is tied at 30.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Esch
I agree with Gleb S.! Why does Founders think everything tastes better by being BBA? KBS was a great innovation when it came out. Quit trying to do sequels of it. One KBS every 6 months is good. One Highball Drifter per lifetime is more than enough.

Lot going on in this beer! Look at how dark and red that head is! Don't see that every day. This is good! But I think about one per year is enough.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa Esch
New entry but.... adding cinnamon to a classic does not necessarily make it better... and whose idea was it to add vanilla?

This been in the back of the fridge a LOOONG time... What did my daughter tell me DKML stands for? Boozy and a little harsh. (Maybe cuz of 4 years in the fridge.) Makes me want to go on a bender. Better get a grip!

Founders Breakfast Stout on the right. Stone Xocoveza on the left. Two extremely righteous stouts. Breakfast Stout is my GoTo comfortable favorite.

Not bad. Hoppy and floral-y if that is a thing. Start of my sailing adventure with Joe E. In Florida. Hopefully many new entries.

Sweet! A little too much so. May as well just drink maple syrup... Drinking it alone, I can't tell the difference between it and Curmudgeon's Better Half or CBS. A side-by-each may be in order.

Finish out the week with a new entry passed on to me by Kurt. Says it's a Pilsener. Tastes like All Day IPA re-labled. Not complaining though.

So, this beer is the same as the last one I entered called Blushing Monk, only it has been aged in tequila barrels. Still fruity, but not so tart. Smoother. Earns it an extra quarter rating point.

Fruity & Tart! A beautiful Christmas red color. Or should I say a beautiful Advent rose to celebrate Gaudete' Sunday? Let's go with that! (I'm sure you all listened in church yesterday.) A religious experience!

This beer is growing on me. I look forward more and more to the next one. Very flavorful and thick, but not too sweet.

I should have listened to Gleb S. Not a good beer but a new entry.

Oh man! This is a winner! Packed with flavor! Nothing thin about this stout. Strong coffee and chocolate that work well together. Fortunately, not too sweet (like it's cousin CBS -though it is definitely a sipping dessert beer). Can't give it a 5.0.

Broadway in the Park; corona-safe Friday night entertainment. Thanks Pat! 19.2 oz = 1 UK pint. (Didn't know that before this beer.)
