Dessert time, got a couple of strong dark ones to finish the day out. Brown sugar, roasty coffee and vanilla, sweet just short of syrupy, rich and smooth. Nice to meet you Dan G.

Quite a good list here, let's start tart. Acetic, of course it's tart, puckering and dry. Starts sweet and is nicely smooth. Watching a bit of the England-Romania friendly, how convenient that we arrived here just in time for kickoff

We're back to virtual Roman tourism this afternoon, today is the Vatican Museums. Will get back to Italy sometime, for now is a nice change from our usual routine. Beer is smooth, sweet raspberry, a little tart, dry finish. Muted, like the edge wore off

Really interesting, not like any mead I had before. Thick, deep pink colour, fruity aroma. First sip is very sweet but then goes very pithy bitter, super grapefruity with aronia, which I think is also bitter. So kind of like an intense grapefruit drink

Some impressive vintage offerings on tonight, this one is a beast and a joy. Brown sugar, roasty slightly bitter coffee and chocolate. A little bite of licorice develops. Thick almost sludgy and massively smooth. Warming, boozy, sip this and smile
