Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) (2023) Lo

Extra hops in beers such as these don’t always go well, but that is not the case here. Great from start to finish.

Vigneronne (2022) Lo

Nice to see Loons on tap outside of the upcoming event. Fruit is on the subtler side. Great funk.

Rosé De Gambrinus (2022) Lo

#200. Little carbonation. Aroma is more clearly raspberry than taste. Still very fruity after a year. There’s an underlying flavour and I’m not sure what it is. Earthy, but in a nice way.

Porter Lo

Solid porter. Huge downgrade in label design. From real classy to generic.

Oude Geuze Boon A L’Ancienne (2018-2019) Lo

Doubling up for the vintage-specific. Underrated on Untappd. Wish you could get this as easily in Ontario as Quebec. Tastes as a geuze should. Funky and citrusy.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio Lo

2022 cork. Bit of liquid on top of cork. No mould. Moderate cherry, quite sour. Enjoyable kriek. Lovely, but 3 Fonteinen’s kriek is noticeably better.

Kriek Boon Lo

Maybe this bottle is off or something I had before, but it’s funny tasting.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) Lo

Interesting an unique. Was not expecting this. Hard to describe. Refreshing. I’ll describe it more usefully on second tasting. A bit of that pomegranate secondary taste.

Cantillon 100% Lambic Bio (4/15/2020 - 50% 4-Year Lambic) Lo

Lovely. Complex. Cantillon. Fuzzy fruit. Oak. When it comes to Cantillon unfruited stuff I am 2/3. This is a hit.

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°7 Lo

Very much a Boon. Large head. Pale yellow colour. Lemony. Moderate carbonation. Good value for a Lambic.

Geuze Boon Sélection Lo

Juicy aroma. Bready and raisiny for a lambic is not what I’m used to. Quite a bit different from their bottles.

Kriek Mariage Parfait Lo

2020 label. Quite a sweet smell. Tastes funky, musty, cherry has faded a bit. Not sure if I have a favourite between this and the standard Boon oude kriek. A touch of rubber.

Oude Geuze Boon Lo

The plan was to buy 20 of these and have one each year until the best before date (I know it's for regulatory reasons). Not doing great with three out of 20 finished. Same rating as the others. Good and relatively affordable.

Geuze Mariage Parfait Lo

Drinking this simultaneously with Boon's standard oude geuze. Mariage Parfait tastes like a slightly sweeter, softer oude geuze. Easily identifiable as Boon's "house character"./?

Oude Kriek Boon Lo

2019. I think this is nice and the cherry compliments the base, but it does not combine as much as I would have liked. For reference, I had De Ranke's version and it was more harmonious.
