Would be an amazing mead, but it’s just too barrel aged. The taste of the barrel overpowered the honey and spices.

The flavour of the barrel takes too much from this mead. The hawthorn honey is great, has an amazing aroma, but this mead is just too boozy, and tastes too much like a barrel.
