Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2018) S

Funk. Goats. Damp straw. Apricot. White grape skins. Pink peppercorns. Waxy yuzu peel. Raisins. Clove. Cooking apples. Dry tannic acidity but no harshness. Surprisingly high bitterness that lingers for quite a long time. Complex but light and not fussy.

Peach. Pineapple. Grapefruit. Orange peel. Passion fruit. Perhaps some piney notes too. Big and juicy and soft. Fairly punchy bitterness. A little bit creamy.

Oude Kriek Boon (2017) S

Waiter, there is a goat in my soup. So much bretty waxy clovey farmyard. Dark sour cherries Red grape skins. Bruised plums. Beautiful soft acidity. Plenty of oaky tannins but not at all harsh. A slight peppery bitterness to the finish. High carbonation.

Loads of earl grey tea notes that I wasn’t really expecting. Peach. Grapefruit peel. A bit of resiny pine. Honey sweetness. Bitterness is medium-high and blends with the piney notes really nicely. Dry. Medium-low carbonation.

Drink'in The Sun (0.3%) S

Honey. Lemon. Slightly floral with hints of blossom and some more herbal tea-like notes. Not as wheaty as I was expecting and surprisingly clear. Well-rounded body with medium low bitterness. Very refreshing.

Fresh pink grapefruit juice and some slightly dry segment skin. A hint of sticky pine resin. Overripe pineapple and some stonefruit esters. Lovely fresh bitterness that really drags the grapefruit along with it.

Sour wheaty bread on the nose. Bright white peach. Bit of passion fruit. Floral. Fairly low bitterness. Breakfast beer to celebrate my last ever night shift and a building fire.
