Monday brew. It's hard to detect the GF over the dank hop notes. It's there, but really blends into the beer as more of a hop characteristic.

A good amount of citrus notes are the main focus. This is a medium mouth feel beer which is surprising for a golden ale, and the citrus notes make up some lemon zest, pineapple and maybe a little orange zest as well.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2018)
This 5-year-old bottle pours like it's a virgin. Nice tight, beige head that lingers for quite a while. The flavor however has oxidized a bit w/ a mild cardboard taste. There is some sweetness but it's indistinguishable from maple syrup.

Boom!! As always, this beer burns on the way down and on the way out. Is it syphilis or 120 Minute that's making it burn? So I need a shot from the doctor or the bartender?

Wake Up World Wide Stout (2022)
This is a great big first beer of the year. A little bit of coffee to wake me up, and enough booze to bring in 2023. Cheers and happy New Year everyone!!

Believe it or not, this still has a lot of coffee not only on the nose but also on the tongue. That's pretty much all you can get off this beer. The chocolate, vanilla, lactose and bourbon are slightly detectable if you really focus on the bathroom wall.

Had this last night and although it was good, I'm not digging the loss of nutty brown character from all the other adjuncts they put in here.

Now I know this is a hazy, but when you say it's a low cal, low ABV beer, the first thing I think of is All Day IPA. This beer isn't even close to being that phenomenal within that low category.

No Shawn Kemp on this pic!!! This is basically Double Trouble with a peach twist to it. It's got a sweetness to it that resembles malty caramel, but then it finishes with a hint of tart peachiness.

Come to Papa on this father's day! I love me a good high ABV Belgian triple. This one's done pretty well. It's a little mild for the style but still pretty enjoyable.

I definitely like this more than All Day IPA this time of year. This one is malt forward with a nice hop bite. And hey, it's a session beer so let's just drink it right out of the can and slam it!!!!

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021)
A classic stout, with a nice twist. Bourbon as always with a little bit of that nuttiness from the cinnamon and some vanilla and maybe the cocoa is there but kind of hidden.

World Wide Stout - Bourbon Barrel Aged (2019)
Thursday nightcap. How weird use it to be drinking this beer out off this glass.

This was a really good beer. Lots of vanilla, chocolate and obviously the bourbon that Founders always brings to the table. The only cut I can make on it is that you really couldn't taste the underlying Brown which is sometimes nice to have.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter
This is pretty damn good. Bourbon forward that pretty much overpowers the wonderful brown characteristics.

A BW right out of the gate tonight!! This BW is darker than I would expect, and the taste explains it all. A lot more toasty tasting, roasted malts mostly dominate this beer. A nice rendition that's a little bit different than the typical BW.

The Rain Man says this is a slam dunk IPA. An IPA needs to be hoppy, that's obvious. But to have a nice, medium to heavy mouthfeel on what appears to be a great malt build, and keeps it well balanced. That's what elevates this IPA above the rest.

Underground Mountain Brown (2020)
Holy spirit so good with it's nutty brownness and the bourbon that's been blessed to mingle with all this great beer flavor.

1,000% Cinnamon French toast laid over the top of what we all know is a very great scotch ale. No breakfast or me in the morning. I'm drinking it now.

Tuesday yummy in my tummy. Black and silky smooth looking and really tasty. It's like coffee and chocolate making slow, sweet love in my mouth. Wait....what?

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020)
Other than being slightly more chocolatey, I didn't notice much difference with this variant.

I drank this pretty quick and didn't have time to dissect this, other than it had the same, raspberry forward tartness and beautiful violet appearance that the original version has.
