Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021) C.

Another cellar pull. It’s not quite as good as the 2020, but it also has a year less on the aging. The coffee is less pronounced for sure. Still very solid and always worth the grab when you see it. Can’t wait to try the 2022 I just picked up.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2020) C.

Cellar beer to compare against the more recent releases. It still holds up, but coffee comes out with age it seems.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa C.

Mostly coffee and a roasty finish. A slight cinnamon bite to it, but I got no vanilla or cocoa at all. Planning to age a couple and see if that changes the profile at all, but this was basically KBS with some cinnamon.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge C.

I forgot I stashed this guy. Loads of coffee with a ton of fudge. I wish it was lower coffee, but still tasty and enjoyable.

Panther Cub C.

No maple, but the vanilla was enjoyable. I feel like it was trying to get there, but fell short of expectations. I still enjoyed drinking it cellar cool though.

Panther Cub (2021) C.

Mixing adjuncts typically reserved for stouts, this held its own. A good flavor profile, but it not being a stout hurt it overall. A solid 4, but it could’ve been much better.

Beer Geek Vanilla Shake C.

Plenty of vanilla and a touch of butter coffee. I thoroughly enjoyed this guy. I wish it was a touch less bitter finish, but it’s still good. Thanks for adding it to your order for me, Gerald!
