Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2017) Moran

Smooth mouthfeel. Dark roast coffee & bourbon are most prominent. Notes of bittersweet chocolate & subtle maple add to the complexity. Aging mellowed this out quite a bit. Really nice cellar-raid nightcap.

Velvet Rush (2021) Moran

Cellar raid… Nose of bourbon & caramel. Pours deep brown, but not opaque. Smooth mouthfeel. On palate, dark roast coffee & bourbon most prominent. Bittersweet chocolate, caramel noticeable too. Milk sugar complements nicely. Tasty night cap.

Nose is roasty & nutty. Smooth, somewhat creamy mouthfeel, but not overly thick. On palate, dark roast coffee, hazelnut & bourbon. Some milk chocolate notes too. Love that it’s creamy & decadent but not overly sweet. Fantastic!

Nose of bourbon, caramel & dried fruit. Smooth mouthfeel. On the palate, roasty w/more bourbon, bittersweet chocolate, oaky notes, caramel, subtle fruit & toffee. 17.3ABV…Warming & rich.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa Moran

Smells like desert. Cinnamon is most pronounced. Also, bittersweet chocolate. Thinner than expected, but tasty.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Moran

Caramel nose. Pours brown, but not opaque. Decently robust head. Smooth mouthfeel. Sweet, bourbon, caramel, vanilla. Pretty tasty.

Nose of vanilla, maple & chocolate. Robust head on this deep dark pour. Mouthfeel is creamy & thick. Roasty and decadent, maple, caramel & bittersweet chocolate, Smooth, creamy goodness. Panther Cub Ella approves too.

Moon Rambler IPA Moran

Nose is citrusy & floral. Pours slightly hazy apricot hue. Smooth, clean mouthfeel. Tame hop profile, but flavorful; with grapefruit, tangerine, subtle pine. Really nice.

Mild coffee nose. Dark pour w/little-no head. Smooth mouthfeel; thinner than expected. Roasty coffee & a bit of smokiness. Okay

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Moran

Nose is subtle chocolate, maple & vanilla. Moderate head dissipates quickly but leaves nice lacing. Smooth mouthfeel; not as thick as I’d expect. Bourbon & coffee at first sip. Chocolate & maple more subdued than expected. Rich, strong & not overly sweet.

Sweet, sour & salty. Watermelon is really subtle. Not bad.

Nose starts with raspberry but follows with smokey, roasty chocolate. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Sweet, raspberry, chocolate but also some subtle, earthy dankness comes through. Interesting brew...

A bit of a hoppy nose. Not as sweet/malty as often experienced with this style. Some breadlines, but with nice hoppy balance & crisp, clean finish. Pretty darn good.
