Founders Oktoberfest (2023) Sobel
Founders usually kills it, but this fell kind of short, especially after recently having an Ayinger. Very light on flavor. All of the proper notes were there, just very weak, even after it warmed a bit. Kind of disappointed.

Bartender mispoured my wife's beer. Was supposed to be Founder's Porter. Oh well, I guess I'll have to choke this down...

Back home after 10 days in Nashville at the Toastmasters Convention, treated myself to an excellent heavyweight favorite. Deep, dark chocolate, some coffee, love the prunes, raisins, dates, figs. Traditional licorice notes are light. Really nice.

Last one of this vintage. Dark roasted coffee prominent. Chocolate, toffee, caramel, oak, bourbon, vanilla. Thick, sweet, boozy. So good.

Dark roasted coffee is definitely prominent. Chocolate, toffee, caramel, oak, bourbon, vanilla. Thick, sweet, boozy. Great winter drinking.

Freakin' awesome. Vanilla, maple, cinnamon, bourbon, sweet syrupy an adult breakfast in a glass. Did I say this was awesome?
