KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge McCall
Another check-in of the 11% stout out of Michigan while watching the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) McCall
Had been cellaring this, so why not drink on the special occasion of Leap Day 2024?

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge McCall
Cellared the 2020 version and now clearing/drinking 3.5 years later. At 11%, the imperial stout with Mackinac fudge coffee, maple syrup, and chocolate aged in oak bourbon barrels is rich and chocolaty. Rather enjoy the sweetness.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa McCall
The 2021 release of the 12% Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa imperial stout pours dark, has a nice cinnamon aroma, and some slight coffee on the back. This Michigan-based barrel-aged stout is very good. Merry Christmas! 🎄 🍻

The 8% double golden ale is brewed with grapefruit juice, lime peel, and blue agave nectar. You definitely notice that citrus sour taste. Decent, if different, but more like 3.625

The pint can of the 6.5% IPA small batch collaboration between DE-based Dogfish and MA-based Trillium is a continually dry-hopped hazy IPA. It’s good. Nothing special.

Más Agave Premium Hard Seltzer Grapefruit McCall
Final try of the variety pack. Decent, not great.

Más Agave Premium Hard Seltzer Lime McCall
Out of the variety pack, the 4.5% ABV, 110 cal., 4g sugar, 10% juice hard seltzer isn’t too bad. This particular lime flavor is a bit more tart, however.

Más Agave Premium Hard Seltzer Strawberry McCall
From Grand Rapids, MI, this 4.5% hard seltzer exceeded my low expectations. The strawberry flavor isn’t too sweet or fake. Must help that it has 10% juice. Spritzy.

With whole leaf, liquefied, pelletized, and powdered hops, this 7% Dogfish IPA is flavorful. Not sure if the recipe changed, but it seems better than I remember from a few years back. 🐭

Out of the 4-pack, the 9.2% ABV and 80 IBU imperial IPA mashup is good. Not super hoppy and a little bitter on the back. But I don’t love it.

The 2021 edition of the 9.2% imperial IPA is a mashup of four (4) Founders recipes and 7 American hop varieties. The pint can is a bit sweet, a bit bitter, and a bit malty.

The 2020 edition of the 7.8% stout brewed with dark chocolate and raspberries is definitely a dessert beer. The decadent brew has a big raspberry flavor, and it’s strong, sweet, and rich.

As an oat milk-type of family, I was interested in trying this 7.1% hazy IPA with malted, rolled, naked oats & oat milk. It’s smoother to start, but still clearly IPA.

Why not do a little pre-gaming for NFL #Kickoff2020 (COVID-19 edition)? Love me some Seaquench as a lighter (and sour) beer.
