73/100*: Surprised! Has the taste and quality of a German beer, but is brewed in the Netherlands. With banana notes and creaminess it is more like a Weizen, but it packs the punch (and 6.4% ABV of a Weizenbock). Not a Kristall, because it’s too spicy.

Simpel biertje, valt tegen in vergelijking met de Grolsch herfst- en lentebock. Gelukkig met de allerleukste collega Elin C., dat maakt een hoop goed.

Gebaseerd op het duitse kristal helder weizenbier, net iets spankelender en scherper in smaak dan gewone weizen. Verder zijn alle kenmerken van weizenbier aanwezig met alcohol percentage van 6,4% een pittige zomer beleving.

Apparently, Bok is not just for spring and fall anymore. Summer Bock is a Kristall Weizenbock. Clove, banana, pineapple, some caramel. Not necessarily summery, in my book. Bright, golden. Thick foam. Sweet, with a spicy bite. Not thick. Sparkling finish.
