Mørkeræd

Lager - Dark

A czech-style black lager hitting an easy-drinking 4,8% ABV. After many trips to the amazing pubs in Prague, we fell in love with this silky dark style of beer. Drinkable, refreshing and really sets the vibe for old European pub culture and ancient brewing history. Our interpretation of the style is balanced between roasty maltiness, sweetness and bitterness with a nose of toasted bread crust, dark chocolate, plums and sweetened coffee. Na zdraví!

As a dark lager, it's an impressive beer, but as soon as you put "Czech" on it, i expext a clear triple or double decoction aroma and taste. Thus its fairly dissaponinting even tho its a decent to good beer.

Dry like a dry stout, but light as a pilsner should be. I need to brew one of these for Pennsic

Porter appearance, suprisingly roasty aroma with hint of chocolate aroma being still crisp. Easy mouthfeel, watery in a good way with roastyness and malts, minor bitter on aftertaste. Some fruityness found behind the dark roast.
