Шикарный аромат кальвадоса при открытии, но пивас мертв. Сухой, пепельный, жженый, кофейный. Уже сожрано тело, а от вкуса всего половина. Но и этого хватает. Олдскульно. Жаль, что такое больше не варят. Если верно понимаю, бутылке более 10 лет.

Deep roasted malty with notes of soy, oak, calvados, chocolate and coffee. Bitter roasted flavor with a deep malty backbone. Bottled 2012.

This was lovely stuff! Good barrel aged but the Calvados adds an appley sweetness to the initial taste which dries out in the aftertaste to a boozy bitterness. Had a good discussion with the Mrs whether this was better than the Buxton porter.

30.10.2013 Выжил и весьма бодро сохранился! Но золотая кондиция явно давно пройдена. Очень подсох и несколько потерял карбо что привело к некой недосказанности. Яблочная бочка проявляется только на вдохе, вкус к сожалению без неё.
