Dirty Bastard (2020) Stackpole

Bottled 05.20.20 holding up well. Can’t remember if this was bottled before the whole racism story came out, but I somehow ended up with a bottle regardless. The beer tastes good, but the company can get fucked.

Citrus Squall Stackpole

Starting to lose the citrus juice character and becoming more of a belgian gold. Honey, malty sweetness.

Citrus Squall Stackpole

Just on the verge of having a citrus character. The sweetness and caramel ish notes make me think more of the cake part of a pineapple upside down cake.

Wake Up World Wide Stout Stackpole

Strong anise notes in the aroma, along with an abundance of thick and sticky molasses. The coffee notes post up late in the finish as a roast note.

Breakfast Stout (2022) Stackpole

Advent calendar beer 17. Roasty coffee beans, bitter dark chocolate, earthy. Plenty of bitterness lasting throughout.

Ultimate Oktoberfest Stackpole

Aroma is fairly boozy and caramel heavy. Notes of vanilla cream come through as well. Definitely on the sweet side, but still good.

Imperial Stout (2012) Stackpole

Bottled 12/20/2012. The anise aroma reaches far beyond the glass. Molasses, fig, and dark chocolate fill the taste. Thicker mouthfeel, very low carbonation after 8 years. Pretty phenomenal.

Campfire Amplifier Stackpole

Roasty and a little bit ashy in the aroma. The sweetness comes through on the backend. It’s a little like toasted marshmallow, which I guess is the idea. Solid beer.

HORAL's Oude Geuze Mega Blend 2015 Stackpole

Merry Christmas! Unpacked this from the first trip to Belgium. It’s staying pretty mild. All the flavors are mellowed out. I get some pleasant oaky notes with a dry, almost apricot like finish. Really delicious.

Cherry jammy goodness. The beer is holding up very well at three years old. Still what I remember it tasting like fresh.
