#cellarbeers This 2012 vintage at 10.5% horsepower is mellow, very roasty, and dark malty. Currently a 3.65/5 but for 12 years out that's pretty respectable.

Cellared for nearly 11.5 yrs. Light carbonation and very bitter with chocolate. Too much black patent.

A little past it's time but still one of the impys.

Ten years seemed long enough. Mostly flat but tastes great. Dark fruit, licorice, dark chocolate candy bar, a little port wine booziness on the finish. Been disappointed with most long term cellaring, but this one is very enjoyable!

Cellared for 9 years. Low carbonation with huge flavors of chocolate mocha and malt. Really happy!

Founders may not recommend aging their beers, but I do.

Used to be my favorite shelf BA stout. Canāt believe how well this held up. Overly bittered with hops. Bourbon chocolate finish.

for 9yrs, this has aged tremendously well. no oxidation to speak of, still some carb and a slightly velvet mouthfeel.

Definitely loses a bit of the carbonation, and becomes a bit thicker after years of aging

Bottled 12/20/2012. The anise aroma reaches far beyond the glass. Molasses, fig, and dark chocolate fill the taste. Thicker mouthfeel, very low carbonation after 8 years. Pretty phenomenal.

I think this was the oldest beer in my house. Tastes a liitle oxidized and probably past its prime, but I still enjoyed it.
