A bright golden-coloured beer with aromas of milk chocolate, vanilla, some coffee, and subtle smoke. On the palate is quite sweet, with notes of milk chocolate, dried fruits, and some booze, followed by a lightly bitter finish.

No idea how long I’ve had this hanging around, but it’s a bit of a vintage. More barley wine than the ‘white stout’ it’s described as. But delicious - coffee, chocolate, a bit of smokiness.

[Backlog from Ratebeer, 2015] Aroma of malt, fruits and caramel. Taste is of malt, coffee, fruits, vanilla and funk. Medium body and carbonation. Weird taste and not the least bit like a stout. Not enjoyable - had a miserable time drinking it.

Tastes more barley wine than white stout which isn’t a bad thing in my book. Vintage Siren vs Mikkeler. Coffee comes through as does the vanilla still. Abv well hidden.
