Fødselsdagsøl 🥳 Burnt roasty flavour with flavours of malts and coffee. Definitely to the dry side with no sweetness in sight, with also means that it’s a bit thin bodied. Not bad though.

For a pilsner, this is super drinkable, with a good flavour and a good bitterness. Very chuggable.

Refreshing and tasty but seriously lacks bitterness and some pine/resin flavours to be recognisable as a WCIPA.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) Borgquist
Last bottle. Just as delicious as always. Full bodied with lots of coffee, maple and roast. I love it.

Mikkkeller Metro Ipa Borgquist
Feels very clean with fruity flavours of especially oranges. Body is light and bitterness likewise. It’s not bad, but not interesting in any way either.
Malty with lots of roasty coffee and a good bitterness. Nice long roasty finish. A bit thin, but a great flavour.
Sharp and piney with a good clean bitterness. The flavour, despite the citrus flavours, seems a bit one-note though, but it’s certainly in the right direction for a good WCIPA.

Nice juicy body and great flavour. More bitterness (stone fruity) than I would expect from a “hazy dipa”, so I’m happy.

Nice, full bodied and roasty, with flavours of roasted malts, coffee and a bit of chocolate. This is JUST in my wheelhouse. Excellent.

Very fruity and vegetable-y. Low bitterness. Sweet and full bodied. Okay, but harmless and boring.

Dreaming of the Void Borgquist
Full bodied with massive flavours of coconut and chocolate. (Luckily) not quite as sweet as expected, probably due to its dry roasty profile. Much better than expected.

Dance Floor Aerobics Borgquist
Sweet and tropical with a mild but decent dry stone fruit bitterness. Nice long finish. Good flavour, I like it.

Goliat Cognac Barrel Aged (2023) Borgquist
I’d hoped to like this more, but I think it’s the cognac that’s making it weird (for me). It IS solid & does have the coffee flavours, but feels thin because of the barrel aging & too much dominance for the booze. It’s not bad, but I prefer the original.

Hoppy, a bit fruity, some resins, crisp, watery - which is okay for its ABV. Excellent chuggable summer beer.
I would’ve expected this to be the same as the “Icecold Pilsner” but it seems less bitter and a WHOLE lot more malty, so while I could drink the other one again, this just seems too caramel/malty for me.
It’s a pilsner and it’s better than a Carlsberg. Certainly more hoppy. Not bad … for a pilsner.
Seems a bit harsh and unbalanced. Dank. Weird bitter flavour in the finish. Not a big fan.

Just the One - Mosaic Borgquist
Okay flavour. Feels a bit more watery than some of the other ones in the serious. A bit simple in its profile. But drinkable, yes.

Just the One - Columbus Borgquist
Crisp and clean IPA with a good flavour and bitterness. Pretty good.

Just the One - Zappa Borgquist
Fruity with a nice dry and high bitterness. Very WCIPA like. Pretty good for its low ABV.
LOTS of tropical fruit flavours - which makes it sweet, but at the same time also both dry and bitter. Great flavour and overall a really good DIPA.
Sweet as f**k. Doesn’t really come as a surprise though - it’s kinda in the name, lol. Full bodied with flavours of chocolate, hazelnuts and enough sugar to give you holes in your teeth just by thinking about it. Not bad, but WAY too sweet for me.
Soft and fruity. Seems sweet but has a long and dry low bitterness that stays around for a while.
Dark and malty, yet thin and watery. Flavour is a bit smoky but not much. Pretty crisp. Not terribly exciting though, but not a style I’m super familiar with anyway. I could drink it again though.

Well, I did say the last time that it would be my last time, so here we are again … and it’s still excellent.

Imperial Stout (Super) Borgquist
Sweet with flavours of malt and coffee. Not bad but oesn’t feel like 12% ABV.
Some chocolate, roasted malts, slightly sweet but still with a good bitterness. Not bad.
Great flavour and a nice bitterness. Full body for just 6.7% ABV. Excellent.
Clear and crisp with grassy citrus flavours. I like my IPA’s a lot more bitter though.
A bit thin but at 5% ABV that’s to expected. The flavour IS great though. Nice and dry citrus flavours with a real good bitterness. Definitely not the last time I’m drinking this. Excellent.

The description is precise - lots of chocolate, but also plum, vanilla and rum. Smooth and sweet.
Bitter and full bodied with grape flavours. I’m not as positive as last time though.
Malty and bitter. Fruity and a bit sweet, but luckily not Christmassy at all, lol. Nice finish. Not bad.
I had a taster. Perhaps I would’ve felt different with a bigger one, but from the small size it seemed it had too little bitterness and too much fruity sweetness … for me.
Fruity and citrus sweetness with a minty and medicinal flavour and a good bitterness. Sounds weird, but it’s actually rather nice.

Grape fruity citrus flavour, okay bitterness. Not bad, but not fantastic either.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) Borgquist
Did I really have it only 2.5 months ago? I forgot. What the hell - then I can enjoy it even better, lol. So delicious with flavours of roasted malts and coffee, chocolate, bourbon and maple. Awesome.

Raspberry Organic Berliner Borgquist
I said I wasn’t going to drink today, but what the hell - no rules without exceptions, lol. Not bad - crisp and fresh with lots of raspberry flavour and a manageable tartness.

Second one in this visit. I’ve had it many times - it’s always good. Bitter and delicious. Looking forward to many more.

Fruity and malty with a dry medium bitterness. A bit weird finish. Can’t say I’m crazy about it.

Icecold! Good flavour, good bitterness, very little sweetness and dry despite its fruitiness. Pretty good for 7.5%. They’re getting better. Thank god.

I usually find Åben’s beers boring, but this one is actually not bad. Fruity and juicy but dry and with an okay bitterness. Yeah, definitely above average.

Third or fourth one today - it’s great. Good balance between flavour and bitterness. Very good.

Very fruity and just a little tart, but not much. Very tasty. Nice!

Bankeråt IPA By Hornbeer Borgquist
Caramel and hops. A bit of sweetness, but bits of dry bitterness too. Much better than expected.

Fresh, citrusy and crisp with a medium bitterness that suits it. Nothing fantastic, but a good easily drinkable summer beer.

You Sure 'Bout That? Borgquist
Thick boozy pineapple juice. I expected something really sweet - and it kinda is, but it has enough dry bitterness and booze that it doesn’t seem like it. There’s also some hop burn. Quite good TIPA, actually.

Perfect balance of body, flavour, coffee and everything else.

Finally! This is great. After a bunch of pretty mediocre beers, Gamma has finally made a (new) great beer. Fruity citrus flavours and a full body, but a fantastic flavour - and lots of bitterness. Awesome DIPA.
Citrusy fruit flavours with very little bitterness. Pretty boring.
Gamma AND Sudden Death? - then you know you’re in for some hoppy goodness. TBH it’s a bit too sweet for me, but it also has a nice dry bitterness too .. and that is definitely a plus. Great.
Nutty and actually not bad - and has a good body, but perhaps a bit too sweet for me.
Malty and vanilla flavoured. A bit boozy. Not as crazy about it as late time.
Light body, citrus flavours, malty and an okay bitterness. Not bad but rather average.

[backlog] Just remembered that I’ve had this several times - both on tap and bottle, but just never rated it. Well, I remember it as being fresh, tasty and easily drinkable - as it should be for a SIPA.
Pretty dry and low on sweetness with an okay bitterness. This however makes it seems a bit malty and one-note. Not bad though - the low sweetness combined with the dry bitterness makes it pretty drinkable (if you’re like me, lol).
Still fantastic. A bit tart but not much - just super drinkable. I love it.
Very fruity but has a very good bitterness to balance it out. Dry tasty and very fresh. Excellent.

Delicious and solid. A bit sweet, but plenty of bitterness to offset it. Excellent.

DDH Slice of Sunshine Borgquist
Nice and clear, yay! Clean and crisp with a good bitterness. Fresh and easily drinkable.
Crisp with a good bitterness, but there’s something about the flavour that I’m not crazy about.
Good flavour. Nice bitterness. I hope I will run into this at Fermentoren CPH. Very quenchable ipa.
Rather tart but not too much. A bit thin, but not a bad taste.

Session west coast IS pretty descriptive. It’s crisp and bitter, malty but not sweet. Super easily drinkable.

Beer Geek Breakfast (Mikkeller x Minoh) Borgquist
Red bean paste? Well, as disgusting as that sounds, it’s actually okay.
Grassy and piney with a bit of citrus. Good bitterness and nicely full bodied for just 5.5% ABV. (Still) not bad.
Clear body. Balanced bitterness with piney and citrusy flavours. Long bitter - but not exaggerated - finish. A bit thin bodied, but expected from the ABV. Pretty good.
Malty with flavours of coffee. Boring but okay-ish for a 6% ABV beer.

Just the One - Cascade Borgquist
Velvety and soft with a fruity and tropical citrusy flavour and a mild bitterness. Not bad, but a bit too toothless for me.
Nice full body with citrusy flavours, yet dry with a good bitterness. Excellent. An easy 4.
