Pours a (lovely) *clear* yellow-ish color. Super clean flavour of hay and citrus. No sweetness and a very balanced bitterness. Not particularly complex or a crazy beer … except being “crazy good” and super quenchable. I like it.

Blue Ribbon Borgquist

Good ipa. Dry bitterness. Slightly sweet, but quite drinkable.

Zeus Borgquist

Fruity but not especially juicy. Dry and malty with a good bitterness. A bit weird, but “good-weird” 😅🍻

Near Distant Future Borgquist

First thought: “thick full body and plenty of chocolate-y flavours”. Also flavours of toffee and nuts. A bit boozy too. It’s basically a sweet desert in a can, but nowhere as sweet as anything that comes out of Amundsen, this is not too sweet. Delicious.

Stjernedans Borgquist

I agree with the profile suggestions; sweet, herbal and minty, but it’s a bit sweet … and although it does have some bitterness, it’s not much. It’s okay, but not fantastic.

Klappet Og Klar - Cascade Borgquist

Nice and bitter with a solid piney citrus flavour. Crisp and delicious. I love it 🍻

Full bodied and creamy with flavours of roasted malts and coffee - and perhaps a bit of chocolate too. Smooth and delicious.

Piney citrus flavours. Very fruity but with a nice stone fruit bitterness to offset it. Not bad.

“Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down” Yeah, it’s sweet - but that is to be expected. However, it tastes really good & feels quite balanced. Certainly balanced enough to allow the stone bitterness to still show through. Full bodied. VGood.

Just like before - a good balance between fruit flavours and bitterness. Excellent.

Pyramidst Borgquist

This is dry & bitter - in all possible ways, lol. A bit of piney and citrus flavours, with a long dry finish. Excellent WC.

Not much sweetness and absolutely no juicyness. An okay piney bitterness though. Good flavour. Not bad, just a bit boring.

Citra Crush Borgquist

Watery but has a good citrus flavour and a good bitterness. Not as “bad” as I remember.

Oatload Borgquist

They’re not lying - it’s very oaty. Also very full-bodied. And fruit-juicy too. Bitterness just below medium, but surprisingly quite balanced. Definitely not as sweet as one would expect … which is pretty okay with me.

Flex Extremity Borgquist

Flavours of grass and pine with a dry and resinous bitter finish. And let’s talk about that bitterness: it’s great. Overall a bit bland, but I like it.

Elastic Ladder Borgquist

Super refreshing with a fruity but clean and bitter taste. Citrus notes in the finish. Excellent.

Versus: Jewel Borgquist

Fruity and juicy with low bitterness. Not bad.

Double Dippy Doo Borgquist

Good balance between juiciness and bitterness and a really good flavour. Excellent every time 🍻

Hibernator Borgquist

Sweet with flavours of caramel and a bit of coffee and an overall low bitterness. Perfect for a double bock, but unfortunately not one of my preferred styles. The taste is fine, but it just doesn’t do it FOR ME. Sorry 😉

A bit thin and an okay bitterness, but has a strange fruity flavour - and a long finish. Well, it’s not bad, but “it’s not me”..

Fruity and a bit sweet, but has plenty of dry stone fruit bitterness too. Not bad.

Gammel Flamme Borgquist

Malty but fresh and dry with flavours of citrus. Excellent.

Winding Waves Borgquist

Piney and resinous. Dry and bitter with a simple and quite short finish. Surprisingly full and malty body for its measly 5.8% ABV, which surely detracts from the score, as that makes it less quaffable as a WCIPA. Having said that I do like it.

Planetarisk Tåge Borgquist

Pours a bit cloudy with a decently full-ish body. A bit malty. Flavours of lemon and grape fruit. Slightly acidic. Good bitter finish. Overall not bad.

Versus: Dual Borgquist

A bit sweet but mostly dry stone fruit bitterness. However, the fruitiness and bitterness is very well balanced. Good body and a nice flavourful finish. Excellent.

Delphic Fog Borgquist

Last night. Good balance between fruitiness, sweetness and bitterness. A bit dry too. Excellent.

Fine. Good bitterness.

Dialect Citra Borgquist

Juicy but not especially fruity. Okay bitterness. SUPER quenchable. I like it.

Ampersand: Idaho 7 Borgquist

Full of tropical fruit flavours. Not especially sweet, but instead have a dry stone fruit bitterness. This is great.

Ampersand: Strata Borgquist

Some malty citrus and other fruity flavours with peppery notes to it. A lot sweeter and less crisp than the Citra version and I definitely prefer that to this, but having said that this is quite drinkable too.

Digi Dab Borgquist

A bit of citrus and resinous pine flavours. Good bitterness. A bit malty finish, but not too bad. Which also describes it quite well: not bad 😉🍻

Beer Greek Breakfast Borgquist

Now, THIS is a nice surprise. I wasn’t sure I wanted to have it because of the cherry aspect of it, but as it turns out it’s not really cherry-ish. Full roasty body with notes of smoke, leather, coffee & licorice in a quite dry flavour. Excellent.

Ampersand: Citra Borgquist

Crisp with citrusy flavours. Good taste and bitterness. Very easily drinkable. I’d happily drink lots of this one in the future.

Undulate V8 Borgquist

There’s definitely some sweetness there, but it also some dry roastiness. A nice full body - for 5.6%. Overall, this is quite excellent and could probably easily convert “the Guinness crowd” 😉😄

“Soft”. Fruity. A bit of citrus and its bitterness but not much. Okay but a bit too sweet for me tbh.

Random Task Borgquist

Stone fruit flavours and bitterness. Very clean taste. Easily drinkable. Excellent.

Spheros Borgquist

The bitterness hits first, then comes the fruity flavours like orange, lemon, guava and lime. It all gives a slightly tart finish. Normally I love citrus flavours, but this is just a bit too fruity for me.

Nelson Sauvignon / Sauvin Brut Passion Orange / Chardonnay Barrel Aged Borgquist

Flavour of tart apples. Dry with a good bitterness, but still dominated by the tartness. Not my preferred style, but drinkable.

Imperial Stout (2019) Borgquist

Full creamy body. Flavour of coffee and especially chocolate. Nice and roasty. Always a a great beer - a real treat.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) Borgquist

Aroma of chocolate. Flavours of coffee, chocolate and bourbon. It’s kinda sweet but not as sickingly sweet as you’d expect - probably because it has a nice roastiness as well. A bit boozy, but not too bad. Delicious. Thanks to PapaV for sharing ♥️🍻

FINALLY a beer with some bitterness in it! Full fat juicy and fruity body, with a really good flavour - and as said; some bitterness too. It works and I’m happy.

Don't Bring Me Down Borgquist

This is not a beer - it’s a perfumed fruit punch. Not what I want ... but then I’ll only have to drink it once now that I do know.

The Glow Below Borgquist

Low on bitterness but high on fruitiness and flavour. If I can’t have the bitterness I want, then this is a great compromise. Excellent!

Seems like a lifetime since I had this on tap, but today I’m drinking it at home. Fruity and very well balanced bitterness. All in all a very delicious DIPA.

Kaffestout Borgquist

Lots of coffee in the aroma. Body is a bit thin, but that is to be expected for a 6% ABV beer, but don’t let that scare you away - it’s excellent. Good bitterness and flavour. Very “clean”. I like it.

The Glow Below Borgquist

Flavours of tropical fruits and citrus notes. Bitterness is low(-ish) but flavour is “up there”. Full creamy body. Excellent.

Vapeur Borgquist

Fruity and fresh, with a nice full body for an IPA and a pretty good and balanced bitterness. Very good.

Trading Places Borgquist

Very fruity and a full body with definite tropical flavours of pineapple and grapefruit. A bit of sweetness and low of bitterness, but somehow pretty balanced too. Not my usual go-to style, but this is pretty excellent.

Winter Triangle Borgquist

Very fruity with some sweetness but very little bitterness - and that’s the exact opposite of how I prefer an IPA. Would be a good thirst quencher on a summer day, but I would be craving something less fruity and more bitter.

UW Borgquist

First beer in 2 months. Thank God that’s over (the break from beer, not the beer itself), LOL. Nice and crisp IPA. Just what was needed to get started again 😅 🍻

[Backlog from Ratebeer, 2017] Can. Hazy amber with a two-finger bubbly off-white head. Taste is of malt, citrus flavours, pine, resin and hops. Pretty full body for 5.8% ABV. Good bitterness and very good taste too.

K:rlek Vår/Sommar (2015) Borgquist

[Backlog from Ratebeer, 2015] Bottle. Hazy orange colour with a huge white head. Faint but fruity aroma. Taste is of malt, hops and lighter fruits - like grapes. Bitter and dry. Pretty standard pale ale. Not bad just a bit...forgettable.

Single Hop Tomahawk IPA Borgquist

[Backlog from Ratebeer, 2015] On tap. Murky amber. Aroma of malt and hops. Taste is of malt, fruits, hops, caramel and butter. Bitter finish. I would've liked some more hops but that doesn't really matter as it has a great taste just the way it is.

American Dream Borgquist

[Backlog from Ratebeer, 2015] Pours hazy orange with a large white head. Taste is mainly of malt, caramel and lots and lots of hops. Very bitter, dry and drinkable - I can see how this would be good (read: dangerous) in the summer. :-)

[Backlog from CBC 2014] Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla & bourbon. A taste of hard roasted malt & chocolate, vanilla, molasses, bourbon with a hint of hops. Very sweet with a long slightly coffee bitter finish. Very good & balanced.

Black Ink and Blood Borgquist

[Backlog, CBC'14] Aroma of roasted malt, fruit and alcohol. Taste of roasted malt, coffee, licorice and fruits - especially raspberries. Intense finish of berries, salt & alcohol. Really sweet and full bodied. Okay taste but very unbalanced. I had a lot.

X Imperial Stout – Oloroso BA Borgquist

[Backlog, CBC'14] Thick and creamy and really sticks to the glass. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and lots of barrel ageing. Taste is of hard roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, dark sugar and vanilla. Finish is a bit boozy. Full & creamy body. Pretty damn good.

Bedow Autumn Porter Borgquist

[Backlog from Ratebeer, 2014] Flavours of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, soy, wood & smoke. Full creamy body. Low carb. Sweet with a bitter & smoky finish. A good & robust porter. Amazing that Mikkeller can reign themselves in and do that for a change.

Hoppy Lovin' Christmas Borgquist

On tap 2013. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma is fresh and citrusy. Taste is bitter with loads of hops, grassy and citrusy spices - the ginger no doubt. Aftertaste is bitter but not too intense. A little bit sour though. Okay.
