Belgian Strong Dark Ale

This beer is inspired by the Belgian Christmas Beers, known for their thick warming body, light spices and balanced hop profile. It’s a dark brown, sweet and potent Belgian strong ale. The aroma gives away notes of spices, caramel, roasted malt and nuts. The flavor has some hints of dark dried fruit, brown sugar, and liquorice. It’s sweet with notes of caramel, orange peel and spices and the finish is lightly dry due to the balanced hop profile.

Pours fantastic, with a creamy head. Nose is mild spicing, roasty malts. Palate is boozy first, and then a lovely malty Belgian strong dark after, with hints of fig, white raisin, and yes booze, and licorice in the linger. A bit hot but really tasty.
