Green Gold

IPA - American

Green gold - one of the oldest Mikkeller recipes, Green Gold is our take on the classic West Coast IPA, back from when they were just called IPAs. This means a well pronounced hop character, a distinguished malty back bone, and a noticeable bitter finish. The beer pour slightly amberish green, and sticking your nose into the glass should remind you of how IPAs used to smell before everything became, well, hazy.

My firsy untapped check in almost a decade ago. A beer i loved, fell out of love with, and now am happy to spend some time with. Always odd to taste these malty, old school west coast ipas as the ipa style just isnt this anymore. Still. Delicious beer.

Didn’t mind this. Good bitterness but lacks the clean aspect I enjoy in westies, mouthfeel etc feels a bit ‘dirty’ 🤣 reminds me a little of the Peninsula DIPA I had on Friday but that was a lot better. Not bad 🤷🏻‍♂️
