Bitter og skarp, men over tid ble den roasty og fin.

Black as the night. Small head. Aroma is laden with alcohol which is not suprising as this is an 17.5 ABV beer. Some notes of malts, coffee and raisins. Flavour is sweet, very sweet. Lots of alcohol again. Coffee. Shorter aftertaste than expected.

Interesting, dark fruit, dark chocolate, bitter coffee all intertwined with ash, tar like flavours. Good body with moderate 17% booziness. Thanks B

One a day historical check in, drank January 2011. Dark chocolate, coffee, raisins, vanilla and caramel aromas. Flavours of dark chocolate, smoke, licorice, oak and wood. Peaty. Huge alcohol burn. Long deep finish of sweet malts and licorice.

Damn, this is beefy at 15% ABV. And sweet. Almost like port of port were beer. Yeah, not gonna be able to finish this bottle in one night. Oof. 😵👍

Cassonade smaak overheerst te hard, jammer van het te veel aan bruine suiker want daarachter schuilen wel een paar goede smaken die het best complex hadden kunnen maken.

Really interesting. Salt and sweet to the max. Boozy as hell. One of the most interesting beers I've ever had.
