Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2018) Cox
The maple syrupyness is still there, buts it's aged and mellowed out oh so well. Slight coffee. Perhaps also a hint of soy-like umami? No hint of the very high ABV. Incredible stuff.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2019) Cox
4 years old and still bang on the mark. Chocolate, vanilla, cold pressed coffee, slight bourbon spice. Verrrry smooth, possibly due to age? Quite simply outstanding.

Sherry-like qualities. Boozy, sweet, sour end. Not my favourite...

More pronounced flavours than the Lambic 18 month. More of that wild fermentation 'honk', slightly more sour, definitely more fruitiness. Complex and really enjoyable.

Sweeter than the Gueuze and the Lambic. Definite cherries, ever present slight sourness. The best of the three!

Single Barrel 18 Month Lambic Cox
Light, clean with a gentle sourness, the punchy flavours have yet to develop. Slightly woody. Still really nice to drink.

Clean and fresh with plenty of blueberries. Really nice easy drinker. Not too sour.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2018) Cox
Checking how it goes down in 2022. In a word: marvellous. Still an ever present chcolatiness, but with slightly less of an emphasis on the BA character. Also smoother.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS. Heavy cold pressed espresso. Bitter with some choc. Losses the bourbon compared to KBS and the booziness. But not necessarily a bad thing. Tasty, but not as much complexity.

Underground Mountain Brown (2020) Cox
Smells of sweetness and nuttiness. Tastes great - espresso pressed coffee, brown sugar, little chocolate tinge. Cheers to your new house Nathan W.!

Really interesting. Salt and sweet to the max. Boozy as hell. One of the most interesting beers I've ever had.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) Cox
Lovely smooth choccie and maple. Coffee, roasty. Absolutely marvellous.

A classic IPA with rounded tropical bitterness but balanced with a smooth sweetness from the milk sugar. Eminently drinkable. A real winner.

The almost unbelievable smoothness is the key takeaway here. Pleasant delicate coffee, but I'd have to say not much else? Perhaps a little chocolate.

First beer @ 31! Pours amber brown with a persistent light Carmel head.feuity hops on the nose laced with a whiskey whiff. Slick sweetness which copious hops, followed by a dry finish.
