1/3 pint (£5). It's a 17.5% Imperial Stout...and I'm drinking it while eating tropical-flavoured ice creams from a bucket and spade...which makes it difficult to judge! It's nice and boozy with dark chocolate, liquorice and sweet raisins.

Dark fruity bitter chocolate, faint burnt fruitcake, phenolic, bitter coffee subtle vanilla, cocoa aroma with a faint minty chocolatey, mild sweet roasted, black, toasted malty nose and a warmth sweet fruity roasted, black malty, coffee, bitter hop taste.

Really interesting. Salt and sweet to the max. Boozy as hell. One of the most interesting beers I've ever had.

Cassonade smaak overheerst te hard, jammer van het te veel aan bruine suiker want daarachter schuilen wel een paar goede smaken die het best complex hadden kunnen maken.

Damn, this is beefy at 15% ABV. And sweet. Almost like port of port were beer. Yeah, not gonna be able to finish this bottle in one night. Oof. 😵👍

One a day historical check in, drank January 2011. Dark chocolate, coffee, raisins, vanilla and caramel aromas. Flavours of dark chocolate, smoke, licorice, oak and wood. Peaty. Huge alcohol burn. Long deep finish of sweet malts and licorice.

Bitter, en heel veel zoetigheid. Vol alsof er heel veel lactose in zit. Koffie met overdosis suiker zeg maar. Eendimensionaal.

Interesting, dark fruit, dark chocolate, bitter coffee all intertwined with ash, tar like flavours. Good body with moderate 17% booziness. Thanks B
