Wat een lekkere, beetje a-typische (qua kleur) barley wine, ook wel redelijk doordrinkbaar, wat het met z'n 15% een gevaarlijke jongen maakt....

Strong, but not overly boozy. Sweet without being sticky. Spicy, going towards fruity. Very good.

Massive loads of caramel, toffee, creme brulee, and vanilla. Very rich and quite tasty. No way I could drink more than 6 oz of this guy though. Super decadent.

Huge 15% barleywine. Pours gold with a foamy white head that leaves ample lacing. Sweet pale malt, honey, lemon drops, white grape ice wine, juicy white raisin, golden brown sugar, orchard fruits, and faint herbal/spicy/floral notes. Syrupy mouthfeel.

Bardzo słodki, a alkohol ukryty. Lepki w konsystencji. W smaku kwiatowo, dalej daktyle. Dużo karmelu i miodu.

Another Szeged gift. I enjoyed this one immensely. For such strength it's a really velvety experience. Still strong though, but not too sweet and with layers of taste.

What an utter beast. The champagne yeast has imparted a really estery influence. Twin that with a hopped-up US barleywine, and we've basically got a smooth, sweet 15+% toffee apple. Given that, I wouldn't say the booze is OTT. Silly stuff; smashed now.

Un barley a 15 degres... derniere degust avec Thibaut M. . Cette fois seul. Bien sucrée mais ce n est pas derangeant. Bu lentement, consciensesement, amertume contre balancant, boisée du vieux tonneau, comme un porto. Top. ... ca eclate.

Sehr untypischer Barley Wine mit Noten von Honig und Weihnachtsgewürzen. Boozy aber auch gefährlich smooth.

Voor mij het beste Craf bier cafe van Aken! Goudkleurig en met kleine schuimkraag. Whisky geur en honing. Likeur achtig. Lange zoete nasmaak. Toppertje.
