Limbo - Riesling Beer_Enthusiast
Not a fan of this particular NA offering, although I love many other ones by this brewer. Cloying white grape juice. Reminds me of a sweet white wine left out overnight. Could be a good food pairing with the right dish though, just can’t see drinking solo

Weird Weather Non-Alcoholic Hazy IPA Beer_Enthusiast
For a 0.3% offering, there’s a good amount of flavour and body. Melon, lemon/lime,mild pine needle, herbal/floral and mild spicy hop notes.

Black malt and chocolate malt really stand out. Mild charred malts, rich chocolate, coffee, and dark fruits. Intense flavour/aroma and velvety smooth.

Pure raspberry juice with some carbonation. A little cloying. Can’t see drinking a 6pack of these but would be a nice food pairing option for some summer salads and cheese or chocolate-based desserts.

I thought this fantastic for a non-alcohol offering. Clean and fruity with no odd malt flavours from alternative grains. Light breadiness. Robust passionfruit, lemon pie filling, key lime zest. Not cheap but a tasty sober choice.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) (2010) Beer_Enthusiast
Tons of complexity. Fresh-baked bread, grainy wheat, lemon, musty hay, tart apple, oak, grapefruit peel, and a herbal, almost eucalyptus-like note on the finish.

Framboise Boon (2017) Beer_Enthusiast
For my dessert tonight, I made Baked Stuffed Apples with 2017 Framboise Boon. They were essentially steam-baked with the beer and then a little was drizzled on top of the oat/fruit/nut filling after completion. Beer is jammy with ripe raspberry/dark berry

Heavily-roasted malts, dark chocolate, dark fruits, mild earthy/piney hops, liquorice, mild tobacco, and a soy sauce-like umami note. Drying finish.

Kriek Boon (2017) Beer_Enthusiast
Sweet red and black cherry, almond, faint oak. Compared to the dryness, acidity, and complexity of an Oude Kriek, this is like candy. Would pair pretty well with summer salads, young goat cheeses, and some desserts.

Rosé de Gambrinus (2010) Beer_Enthusiast
Pours dark rose gold with bright gold highlights. Quickly receding pinkish head. Nose is raspberry bush, damp soil, damp hay. Quite tart on the palate with notes of crushed ripe raspberries, other sour red berries, citrus zest, green apple, oak tannins...

Huge 15% barleywine. Pours gold with a foamy white head that leaves ample lacing. Sweet pale malt, honey, lemon drops, white grape ice wine, juicy white raisin, golden brown sugar, orchard fruits, and faint herbal/spicy/floral notes. Syrupy mouthfeel.

Kriek 100% Lambic (2010) Beer_Enthusiast
On top of carrying a toddler up a mtn, my crazy friend Jeff also carried up this 10 yr old Lambic for us to enjoy at the top. Delicious tart cherry pastries, faint lemon, spicy oak tannins, mild funk, mild acetic. Beautiful. Mt. Ambler, Grande Cache, AB
