Pretty close to being a 5! Lovely warming marzipan and amaretto flavours whilst remaining very well balanced!

Sweet as f**k. Doesn’t really come as a surprise though - it’s kinda in the name, lol. Full bodied with flavours of chocolate, hazelnuts and enough sugar to give you holes in your teeth just by thinking about it. Not bad, but WAY too sweet for me.

On the nose, it’s absolutely incredible – full marzipan scent. It doesn’t quite match up on the taste. Still a really good beer. Dan Harnett, what are you on giving it 0.5?!

• expected an overly sweet beer out of friends check•ins, but it’s not • marzipan notes and slightly chocolate as well, but quite unbalanced imo with a funny unpleasant bitterness that lingers on • expected much more complexity
