Cerise

Fruit Beer

You’ll have a soft spot for this one. Using only fresh Michigan tart cherries, this beauty tantalizes with intense flavors combined with a no hesitation malt bill. Adding fresh cherries at five separate stages of fermentation achieves the ultimate balance between tartness and sweetness.

Decent tart cherry up front. Finishes with a bit of a cough syrup taste

At first the smell alone turned me off, but luckily the sweet taste made up for it.

Finally a cherry beer that delivers the cherry. Not medicinal or fake.

Sip rests heavy on the tongue, tart and metallic. Finishes tart and a bit sweet. A little bit cherry 7 up on the aftertaste.

Sweet cherry that isn’t a lambic. Tastes better with savory food to balance.

Pours with a hazed pink body and no head, but a slight, white ring. Aroma of sweet cherries and wheat with a touch of cherry syrup. Taste is slightly bitter cherry pie filling. Not bad. Light carbonation and dryish mouthfeel.

Not a great example due to age and oxidation. But I can see the potential, a balance of sweet and tart.
