Base beer and syrup sweetness are welcome to the the sweet tooth, but the spicing is a distraction and unbalanced.

Straw yellow, crystal clear, mild citrus nose, drinks clean, some carbonation bite, and definite bitterness.

The barrel is trying to sweeten things up, but the is still a strong, lingering, underlying bitterness.
