Like the bourbon, vanilla and cinnamon requires more body.

I wanted to like this more, but think the flavors would be better in a stout. Very strong and sweet, I seemed to like it less the more I drank - regular Backwoods is a lot better.

Well … they did it. Tasted like I was drinking a stack of liquid french toast! Cinnamon, maple sweetness (like extra-buttery syrup sweet!) Even has a bready-pastry vibe. Buddy the Elf might even O.D. on this beer!

Heavy french toast, not a great aftetaste

Nailed the French toast smell but too heavy on the cinnamon and maple drowns out the Backward bastard bourbon/scotch base

So much maple in the nose. Tons of cinnamon on the tongue. A bit boozy, not really loving this. Not my kind of beer any more. 5oz, 7*

It's almost got that cold coffee smell and taste and that's not me......I like my coffee hot 👍 not bad though, got a nice creamy feel.

Seemed surprisingly subtle on the first sip, but as it warmed up it got more over the top as expected. Mostly just too sweet. Cinnamon was more tame than most, but still too much.

Get some artificial flavor vibes. Give me a backwoods anytime.

Sweet maple, thin watery body, easy to drink. Translation: dangerous.

Too sweet, flavors are spot on just too much maple for my liking

Lots of maple flavor up front but finishes with a lingering bitterness.

This tastes so Much like French toast you’d think there are eggs in it. Thanks Kevin!

Vanilla and maple tasting beer. On the sweet side though. Relaxing here in Williamsburg the first night.

Smells like French toast tastes like licorice with a cinnamon twist
