Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio (2019-2020) M
Gotta love Europe - even in a craft beer desert like Spain, can still sometimes find Cantillon on the shelves. Expectedly still, but tons of funk and lemon - a delight. 750ml, 9.25*

Oof, I remember when this used to be $16 at my local bottle shop. Rounded earthy acidity. Less lemon, more rhubarb. A little less funk than I remember, but it’s there. Frankly, Tilquin and 3F are on par with this. 750ml, 8.75*

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) M
Not as good as I remembered it? Almost still, not a ton of funk, missing a lot of what makes Cantillon great. Maybe it’s just the draft version? 12oz, 7.75*

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2012) M
11.5 yrs old. Has mellowed: coffee is more muted, barrel is there but smoother. Not boozy, especially for 11%. Reduced carbonation. Still doing well. 12oz, 8*

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - Vat 77 Mono Blend M
Still doing great. Gueuzey with some earthiness and sweetness. 185ml, 8.25*

Oof why? I’m giving up on fresh KBS. Used to be a fanboy, but now it’s too boozy and astringent for me. I get the base beer plus some chocolate and the cherry is at least not overpowering. But it’s a little hard to drink 12oz of this right now. 12oz, 6.5*

So much maple in the nose. Tons of cinnamon on the tongue. A bit boozy, not really loving this. Not my kind of beer any more. 5oz, 7*

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2011) M
Still doing well. Probably more chocolate than anything else right now. 12oz

Almost all fruit, none of dat Loon funk, I guess it hasn’t changed! But when there is Cantillon on draft, I must take advantage. 5oz, 7.5*

So much funk on the nose. It’s there on the tongue, but also has an earthy sweetness. Always happy to drink this. Could probably use a few years to amp up the funk. 750ml, 9*

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2011) M
11 years old, still doing fine. Lots of chocolate and barrel, coffee a little muted. Not boozy. 12oz

It’s that kind of day. Almost 11 y/o beer, still has a ton of fruit and acidity on the tongue. Nose is nice and funky, though I wish there was more funk in the flavor. Cork was moldy, but the beer seems unaffected. 375ml, 8.5*

Batch 5. Has lost most of the fruit, but there is a small amount still there. Some light oxidation and a lot of barrel. 750ml, 8.5*

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2010) M
Last bottle, 11.5 yrs old. Has lost sweetness and booze, is a little peppery, coffee is mostly gone. Not what it used to be. 12oz, 7*
