4 Giants IPA

IPA - Imperial / Double

We’ve made a lot of imperial IPAs over the years and, in turn, have had a lot of arguments over which one is the absolute best. So, to settle this once and for all, our brewers mashed up four of our favorite recipes into the ultimate imperial IPA. 4 Giants boasts aggressive bitterness balanced by a malty, sweet backbone while huge aromatics come courtesy of the seven American hop varieties.

Big but gentle. Smooth, soft, enough going on in the palate to be interesting but not overwhelming. Aromatic, hint of citrus and fruit, floral, with a mellow bitter finish. Worth the wait!

Pours a clear golden orange with an off white head. Piney citrusy aroma. Medium body. Dank and bitter with a dry resinous flavor. Finishes with a lingering citrus rind bitter aftertaste. Malty backbone. Hides the alcohol well.

Strong west coast ipa. 16 oz can at 9.2%. Smooth enough to be dangerous.

Not sure yet. Put four in it. Great first sip but only okay after that.

Fantastic IPA, wouldn’t believe the 80 IBU’s if I was you... bitterness is minimum and very well balanced. This one is a creeper.

Big hop bitterness! A bit of apple up front. Finishes astringent and with alcoholic heat. Maybe not to everyone's taste, but I like it a lot. NOT sessionable.

Haven't had a Founders beer in forever. The national craft breweries must be struggling with the advent of local craft breweries. A toast to a pretty good brewery. 🍻
