Last bottle of the first batch. Still drinks a bit bitter, but the chocolate and barrel are a little more harmonious.

Doft av kaffe, mörk choklad och ekfat. Fyllig munkänsla. Smak av kaffe, mörk choklad och ekfat. Något bitter och torr eftersmak med inslag av kaffe och ekfat.

Did not know KBS could be more coffee forward as original. Yet, here we are. 1st yr it’s aged on espresso beans after being removed from the barrels. More hyperness than normal! Thanks Bryan F. for the hookup on this one I missed. Huge KBS fan & variants.

Just tapped a 1/4 barrel of KBS Espresso and it’s awesome! Coffee in your face for sure. Smooth, with great carmel bourbon notes.

I am on the fence on this. I first tried a variant in March 2020 at Monk's Pub shortly before the lockdown, and my sense of it was that the extra coffee added bitterness. KBS and CBS are two of my favorite beers, but this is thinner and more bitter.

Nice and toasty, it’s still got a little burn. Aged nicely but slightly muddled. Moving continues with Matt and Gink

Dearlord do I love a well-brewed stout that perfectly pairs barrels and coffee, especially this kicked up smooth espresso. Geebus, that’s outstanding.

That’s a heckuvapour! Definitely big coffee flavor but I’ll say it kinda negates the KBSiness of the beer as the base already has coffee in it.
