Curmudgeon Old Ale (2015)

Old Ale

Think classic seafaring ports, local pubs, and weathered old fishermen. This old ale is brewed with molasses and an insane focus on the malt bill, then oak-aged. The result is a strong, rich, malty delight that's deceptively smooth and drinkable.

"Funny thing about getting older. Your eyesight start getting weaker but your ability to see through people's bullshit gets better." Probably one of my favorite styles, now thanks to the Hazy Craze, forgotten. Minimal carbonation, malty, molasses 🔥

2015 in 2022. I bought a couple of these before this place shut down forever. This is a bit sweet, malty and grainy. I get molasses and caramel and some oaky notes. Good for being 7 years old and questionably stored. Still thought it would be different.

Incredible. I can just image stepping foot off the lobster boat after months at sea and enjoying this Malty brew. Notes of: Carmel, malt, slight dank, bread, British bitters beer adjacent.
